Eightfold Careers Jobs Scraper

Extract public job postings from employer career sites that are powered by Eightfold, for example https://fortive.eightfold.ai/careers. Paste one or more careers URLs and get one clean dataset row per job, with the full description. This is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Eightfold AI or any employer whose jobs it reads.

The actor uses plain HTTP requests, no browser, no login and no proxy. It reads the same public JSON endpoints that the careers page itself loads (/api/pcsx/search and /api/pcsx/position_details), and only those endpoints and the /careers page, which the site's robots.txt allows. It reads robots.txt at the start of every run and skips a career site that does not allow these paths.

What data does it return?

For each job:

• jobId, displayJobId, atsJobId: the Eightfold position id, the requisition number and the id in the employer's own system
• title, companyName, tenant, domain, department
• locations and standardizedLocations (arrays of strings)
• workLocationOption (onsite, hybrid, remote_local and similar, exactly as published) and locationFlexibility
• postedDate and createdDate (ISO 8601, UTC)
• employmentType, salary and customFields: only when the employer publishes them; they differ per employer
• descriptionText (HTML removed) and descriptionHtml (when "Include full job description" is on). E-mail addresses inside descriptions are replaced with [email removed].
• jobUrl, careerSiteUrl, scrapedAt

Recruiter, hiring-manager and other contact-person fields are never copied.

How to run it

1. Open the actor and keep the prefilled input, or replace the URL with the careers page of another Eightfold-powered employer (the URL looks like https://<name>.eightfold.ai/careers).
2. Optionally set search keywords or a location, the same way you would on the careers page.
3. Set "Maximum jobs per career site". The prefill is 20.
4. Click Start. When the run ends, open the Output tab to view, filter or export the dataset as JSON, CSV or Excel.

The domain parameter that the API needs is detected from the careers page, so you only paste the URL. If detection fails for an employer, enter it in the advanced "Domain parameter" field (for example fortive.com).

How much does it cost to scrape Eightfold career sites?

Pricing is pay per event: 0.002 USD per job in the dataset (one result event per row). Example: 1,000 jobs cost 2 USD, 100 jobs cost 0.20 USD. Platform usage is not billed separately to you under pay-per-event pricing. Set a maximum total charge in the run options to cap spending; the actor stops when the limit is reached.

Limitations and the free plan

• Only career sites that serve the public /api/pcsx endpoints anonymously work. Some Eightfold tenants do not: in testing, nttdata.eightfold.ai/careers redirected to another careers site and its search endpoint answered that the feature is not enabled. The actor logs a warning and skips such sites.
• The API returns 10 jobs per page and the actor waits at least one second between requests, so descriptions make runs slower. A local run of 20 jobs with descriptions took about 27 seconds; without descriptions it is faster.
• Fields such as employment type, salary and custom fields exist only when the employer publishes them. In tests, one tenant published a pay range and several published none.
• Only jobs listed publicly are returned. Applying, saving jobs and anything behind a login are not supported.
• The 20-job prefill costs 0.04 USD at the per-result price, so small test runs are possible on the free plan as long as your account has credit. Large runs depend on your plan's credit.

FAQ

Is this allowed? The actor reads only anonymous public pages and API paths that the site's robots.txt allows, at low speed, and does not bypass any protection. You remain responsible for how you use the data and for following the terms of the employer and local law.

Why is a job description empty? The details request for that job failed after retries (a warning is logged), or the employer left it blank.

A career site returns nothing. Check that the URL opens in a browser without login and is not redirected to a different careers site.
