All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.
- ✅ When Google Maps is slow or temporarily refuses to answer, the run now ends with a clear
message that nothing was collected and nothing was charged, instead of showing as failed.
- ⏱️ Runs that are about to hit the time limit now stop early and keep everything collected so far,
instead of being cut off.
- 🆓 Free-plan runs that start too soon after the previous one, or after the daily limit, now end
with a clear message instead of a failed run.
- 🔍 A search term on its own (for example "nail salon in Austin, TX") now works; the Location field
is optional.
- 🛡️ A proxy setting your plan cannot use no longer stops the run; the default proxy is used.
- 💰 Runs with a maximum cost set now stop cleanly once that cost is reached.
- 💬 Every run now finishes with a clear one-line summary, for example "17 posts from 8 businesses".
- ✅ A search that matches no businesses, or Place URLs that can't be matched to a business, now ends
with a clear explanation instead of a failed run.
- 🔁 Temporary connection hiccups are now retried automatically, so a brief blip no longer drops a
business from your results or fails the whole run.
- 📋 When some Place URLs are skipped, repeated, or over the per-run limit, the run now tells you
instead of silently leaving them out.
- 🐛 Searches containing an exclamation mark (for example "Yahoo! cafe") now return results.
- 🐛 Businesses with an exclamation mark in their name are no longer skipped.
- 🛠️ Monitor mode now works with any state name, whatever its length or language, and a blank or
unusual state name no longer stops a run even when monitor mode is off.
- 🩹 Businesses that couldn't be read are no longer shown as "0 posts" in the leaderboard, so a
business is never ranked as inactive by mistake.
- 🚀 Initial release: search Google Maps by keyword and location, or paste a direct business
URL, to export every recent owner post (text, dates, images, call-to-action).
- 🏆 Posting Activity Leaderboard: when you search a market, businesses are automatically
ranked by how often and how recently they post, so you can see who's most active at a glance
instead of digging through a flat list.
- ✨ Added offer and event post share metrics to the leaderboard, showing what mix of content
each business is publishing.
- 👀 Added monitor mode: run this Actor on a schedule and only see posts that are new since your
last run.
- 🌍 Added language and country controls for searching outside the US.
