No. It reads publicly available station data, the same data shown on plugshare.com and in the PlugShare app.

What if PlugShare is slow or refuses a request?

Failed requests are retried automatically. If a run still cannot get data, it ends with a plain message saying so and charges nothing for what it could not collect.

Can I search by city or state instead of coordinates?

Give the center latitude and longitude plus a radius for the area you want. Coordinates give more precise, controllable coverage than a city name alone. Add several areas to cover a whole metro.
