Email Validator
Check a list of email addresses for bad syntax, domains that can't receive mail, disposable domains, role accounts and likely typos.
What it does
- Verdict for each address:
domain-ok,risky,invalidorunknown, with the reason. - Typo suggestions:
someone@gmial.comsuggestssomeone@gmail.com. - No SMTP probing: it doesn't connect to mail servers, so your IP reputation and the recipients aren't affected.
- Bad inputs don't fail the run: each input's status is listed in
SUMMARYin the key-value store, and failed inputs produce no charged results.
Input
{"emails": ["someone@gmail.com","someone@gmial.com","test@mailinator.com"]}
All options are described on the Input tab.
Output
Each result has these fields, plus fetchedAt. Fields without a value are null.
email: Address as given.normalized: Lower-case address.verdict: domain-ok, risky, invalid or unknown.reason: Reason for the verdict.syntaxValid: Whether the syntax is valid.domain: Email domain.hasMailServer: Whether the domain accepts mail. Null if DNS failed.mxRecords: Mail servers, best first.isDisposable: On the disposable domain list.isRoleAccount: Role address such as info@.isFreeProvider: Free provider such as gmail.com.didYouMean: Suggested address if the domain looks like a typo.
Pricing
$0.0005 per email checked, plus $0.001 per run. If you set a maximum cost per run, the Actor stops at that limit.
Limits
- It doesn't confirm that a mailbox exists.
domain-okmeans the syntax is valid and the domain accepts mail, and a specific address can still bounce. Use an SMTP-based verifier if you need mailbox-level checks. - The disposable list uses the open-source disposable-email-domains project and won't catch every service.
- Follow the email and privacy laws that apply to you when you use your lists.
