Article Extractor: clean text & Markdown from any article URL

Turn news articles, blog posts and documentation pages into clean text and Markdown with title, author, publish date, lead image, language, word count and reading time. Paste thousands of URLs and get structured JSON, CSV or Excel back. Powered by Mozilla Readability (the engine behind Firefox Reader View), enriched with JSON-LD, Open Graph and article meta tags.

$0.50 per 1,000 articles. You only pay for pages where an article was actually extracted. Failed requests, blocked pages and non-article pages are free.

Use cases

  • LLM / RAG ingestion: feed clean Markdown into vector databases, ChatGPT, Claude or LangChain without menus, ads and cookie banners.
  • News monitoring & media analysis: collect headline, author, date and full text from a list of article links (e.g. from the RSS Feed Reader or Sitemap URLs Actor).
  • Content research & SEO: word counts, reading time, keywords and sections of competitor posts.
  • Archiving and summarization pipelines.

Limits & notes

  • Works on server-rendered HTML (most news sites, blogs, docs, Wikipedia). Pages that render content only with JavaScript, or sit behind paywalls/logins or bot protection, return found: false free of charge.
  • No proxies, no logins. Respect each site's terms of service and copyright when reusing content.
  • Only public pages you supply are fetched; no crawling.
