What does this Pinterest keyword research tool do?

Pinterest is a search engine. People type words into its search bar, and Pinterest suggests what others search for. This tool collects those suggestions in a smart way:

1. It searches your keyword alone.
2. It searches your keyword with every letter (a to z) and every number (0 to 9).
3. It opens each keyword it found and searches again, like the branches of a tree. fall nails leads to fall nails short, which leads to fall nails short almond.
4. It reads the Pinterest search volume of every keyword.
5. It builds a report with topics, categories, post ideas, a keyword wheel and a mind map.

You get keywords with 2, 3, 4 and more words. Long keywords are specific, and they are usually the easiest to rank for.

Pinterest search volume: where the numbers come from

Many people ask how to see search volume on Pinterest. Pinterest publishes a number on its public idea pages: "N people searched this". This tool reads that number for every keyword.

~570	An estimate. Pinterest has no published number for this keyword, so the tool calculates one from Pinterest's own popularity score. Tested on 414 keywords in 10 topics: usually within 1.5 times the real value. Every run checks its own estimates.
n/a	Pinterest shows neither a number nor a score. The keyword is still real: Pinterest suggests it because people type it.

Honest note: Pinterest does not say which period its number covers, so do not read it as "monthly searches". Use it to compare keywords with each other, which is what keyword research needs.

How to find Pinterest keywords with this tool

1. Type your keyword in Seed keywords, for example fall nails, home decor or chicken recipes. One keyword per line, up to 100.
2. Choose how deep to search:
   • Standard: about 350 keywords per seed, about 30 seconds.
   • Deep: about 3,000 keywords per seed, 3 to 9 minutes.
   • Maximum and Full tree: everything Pinterest has, 15 minutes and more.
3. Press Start.
4. When the run ends, open Keyword report in the Output tab.

Where to put Pinterest keywords

Once you have your list, use the keywords where Pinterest reads them:

1. Pin title: the main keyword, written naturally.
2. Pin description: 3 to 5 related keywords in normal sentences.
3. Board name and board description: the broad keyword of the topic.
4. Text on the image: Pinterest reads the words on your pin image.
5. Your profile name and bio: the main topics of your account.
6. The page you link to: its title and text should match the pin.
