Scrape TeamBlind posts, comments and polls
Collect public discussions from Blind for company research, layoff monitoring, workplace sentiment, recruiting research and career-topic analysis. Start with a feed, company, channel, keyword search or individual post URL, then download structured records as JSON, CSV or Excel.
Choose fast feed collection for clean titles, author and company labels, dates and engagement. Enable post details to collect the full text available publicly and poll information. Add public comments with a separate, bounded comment limit. Direct post URLs always receive detail extraction.
What data can I extract?
| Data | Output fields |
|---|---|
| Post identity | articleAlias, title, url, channel, channelUrl |
| Author labels | author, company |
| Text | description, contentPreview, content, contentIsPreview |
| Engagement | likes, commentCount, views, postedAt |
| Images | imageUrl, images |
| Comments | comments, commentsRequested, commentsExtracted, commentsTruncated |
| Polls | isPoll, poll with options and publicly exposed counts |
| Provenance | sourceUrl, scrapedAt, market, language |
A feed preview is not represented as a full thread. Check contentIsPreview before using text for analysis. commentCount is the source's displayed total, while commentsExtracted is the number actually returned. A public page can show a large comment total without exposing all comments to signed-out visitors. The Actor follows additional public feed and comment pages when available, within the configured page limits. If the source refuses an additional page, the Actor keeps results already collected; commentsTruncated identifies requested comments that fall short of the displayed total.
Popular-feed pagination is supported beyond the initial 60 posts. If Blind refuses a later page, the Actor still returns the results already collected and completes the run.
Poll choices are returned when the public page exposes them. Vote counts, percentages and participant counts remain missing when the source withholds them; the Actor does not estimate results or vote in polls. Comments can include publicly available replies and author/company labels, but private company discussions and login-only content are unavailable.
How to scrape Blind
- Add one or more supported URLs under Start URLs.
- Set Max items to cap delivered posts across the run.
- For feed inputs, enable Scrape full post details when you need the full available text and polls.
- Enable Include public comments and set Max comments per post if needed.
- Start the Actor, then open the Dataset tab to inspect or export the results.
The Actor supports the English site on teamblind.com and www.teamblind.com. market: "US" and language: "en" identify this supported site, not the author's location or the language of every post. Localized site paths such as /kr/, other hosts and unsupported URL types are skipped with a warning.
Supported inputs and examples
Trending workplace discussions
Collect a small feed of popular posts before deciding which threads need deeper analysis.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/?sort=pop" }],"maxItems": 50,"scrapePostsFromLists": false,"maxPages": 5}
Use https://www.teamblind.com/?sort=id for the newest feed.
Meta company discussions
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/company/Meta" }],"maxItems": 50,"scrapePostsFromLists": true,"scrapeComments": false,"maxPages": 5}
Layoff discussions
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/channels/layoffs" }],"maxItems": 50,"scrapePostsFromLists": true,"scrapeComments": true,"maxComments": 10,"maxPages": 5}
Keyword search
Replace layoffs in the URL with your URL-encoded topic, company or phrase, for example /search/return%20to%20office. Existing root or /search URLs with a q parameter are normalized to this form.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/search/layoffs" }],"maxItems": 50,"scrapePostsFromLists": true,"maxPages": 5}
A full public thread with comments
Replace the example post URL with the thread you want. Direct post URLs receive detail extraction even when scrapePostsFromLists is false.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/post/im-just-a-human-wrapper-for-llms-at-this-point-toj64hyk" }],"maxItems": 1,"scrapeComments": true,"maxComments": 20,"maxCommentPages": 5}
Public poll choices and results
Use a public post URL containing a poll. Results depend on what the page exposes without signing in.
{"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.teamblind.com/post/im-just-a-human-wrapper-for-llms-at-this-point-toj64hyk" }],"maxItems": 1,"scrapeComments": false}
Input limits
| Parameter | Default | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
startUrls | Popular feed | Up to 100 supported URLs |
maxItems | 100 | Maximum delivered posts across the run; hard cap 10,000 |
scrapePostsFromLists | false | Follow feed posts for detail extraction |
scrapeComments | false | Include available public comments on detail pages |
maxComments | 10 | Maximum comments per post; hard cap 100 |
maxPages | 20 | Maximum public feed pages per start URL, when available; hard cap 100 |
maxCommentPages | 10 | Maximum additional public comment pages per post, when available; hard cap 20 |
maxConcurrency | 3 | Parallel requests; maximum 10 |
debugMode | false | Save bounded diagnostic data for extraction issues |
For compatibility with existing integrations, maxItems: 0 uses the 10,000-post cap and maxComments: 0 uses the 100-comment cap. Neither value means an unlimited run. Collection stops when a limit is reached, the source exposes no more public results, or an additional page cannot be retrieved. Runs can return fewer items than requested.
Pricing
Each delivered post has one result charge. Detail extraction and requested public comments are included in that post's price, within the configured limits. There is no additional detail surcharge or Actor start charge under the simplified pricing model. See the Pricing tab for your active tier and any scheduled changes.
Set maxItems to control the maximum number of result charges. Setting a high comment limit does not guarantee that the source will expose that many comments.
Example output
This shortened, illustrative record shows the shape of a detailed post. Anonymous handles, text and counts below are examples.
{"title": "How are teams approaching return to office?","url": "https://www.teamblind.com/post/example-thread-abc12345","channel": "Tech Industry","author": "ExampleHandle","company": "Example Company","content": "Our team is comparing hybrid schedules. What has worked for yours?","contentIsPreview": false,"likes": 12,"commentCount": 25,"commentsRequested": true,"commentsExtracted": 1,"commentsTruncated": true,"comments": [{"author": "ExampleReply","company": "Another Company","text": "A consistent schedule helped our team plan.","likes": 3}],"isPoll": false,"poll": null,"market": "US","language": "en","sourceUrl": "https://www.teamblind.com/?sort=pop","scrapedAt": "2026-10-19T12:00:00.000Z"}
Questions and support
Why are some comments or poll results missing? Blind may restrict additional content to signed-in visitors. The Actor returns the public data it can retrieve and exposes comment counts and preview flags so you can identify incomplete content.
Can I collect a private company group? Public company discussions are supported. Private groups and signed-in content are unavailable.
Can I use it from code or a workflow? Use the API tab for your request examples, or connect the Actor to an Apify task, schedule, webhook or integration. Start with a small result limit before scheduling repeated collection.
For a reproducible extraction issue, include a source URL and run link in the Issues tab. Avoid sharing credentials or private discussion content.
