Google Maps Business Lead Finder & Scoring

What it does

  • Input: city, country, business category, service offer, and result limit.
  • Source: Google Maps business listings via x_guru/google-maps-scraper.
  • Processing: normalize listing fields and rank candidates using deterministic website, review, rating, and contact signals.
  • Output: business name, phone, address, website, rating, reviews, Maps URL, scores, and reasons.
  • Use case: shortlist local businesses for web design, marketing, and B2B sales research.

Example input

{
"country": "Germany",
"city": "Berlin",
"businessType": "Restaurants",
"opportunity": "Website design",
"maxResults": 20
}

Output shape

Field/type illustration only; this is not a live result. Actual fields depend on the source.

{
"business": "string",
"opportunityScore": "number",
"trustScore": "number",
"risk": "string",
"rating": "number",
"reviews": "integer",
"category": "string",
"address": "string",
"phone": "string",
"website": "string",
"opportunityReasons": [

],
"trustSignals": [

],
"source": "string",
"url": "string"
}

Missing website means no website was returned in the listing data; the Actor does not audit websites. It can return businesses with or without a website. Scores and risk labels are heuristics, not verified buyer intent or business certification.

What can you use it for?

  • B2B lead generation
  • Local sales prospecting
  • Agency client discovery
  • Website design prospecting
  • Marketing service prospecting
  • Supplier and distributor research
  • SaaS customer discovery
  • AI agent workflows
  • Market research
  • Business development

How it works

Provide:

  • Target country
  • Target city
  • Business type or keyword
  • Product or service you want to sell
  • Maximum number of opportunities

The Actor searches public business listings and analyzes more candidates than it returns.

For example, a request for 20 opportunities may analyze up to 60 candidate businesses and rank the strongest matches.

Opportunity Score

Each business receives an Opportunity Score from 0 to 100.

The score uses signals such as:

  • Digital presence
  • Website availability
  • Public business activity
  • Rating
  • Review volume
  • Contact availability
  • Business profile completeness
  • Relevance to the selected sales opportunity

A high Opportunity Score means the available public signals indicate that the business may be a stronger prospect for the selected product or service.

It does not guarantee that the business will buy the product or service.

Trust Score

Each result also receives a Trust Score from 0 to 100 based on available public business signals.

Signals may include:

  • Public rating
  • Review volume
  • Website availability
  • Phone availability
  • Address availability
  • Business profile completeness
  • Consistency of available public information

A high Trust Score indicates stronger public trust signals. It is not a certification, background check, or guarantee of legitimacy.

Businesses with limited public information are not automatically considered untrustworthy.

Risk

Results include a simple risk classification to make large lead lists easier to evaluate.

Risk is based only on available public signals and should be treated as a research indicator rather than a factual judgment about a company.

Output

Each result can include:

  • Business name
  • Opportunity Score
  • Trust Score
  • Risk
  • Rating
  • Number of reviews
  • Category
  • Address
  • Phone
  • Website
  • Opportunity reasons
  • Trust signals
  • Source
  • Business URL

Example

Input:

Country: Germany
City: Berlin
Business type: Restaurants
Opportunity: Website design
Maximum results: 20

The Actor searches public restaurant listings in Berlin, evaluates the candidate businesses, ranks them, and returns the strongest opportunities.

A restaurant with strong customer activity but limited digital presence may receive a higher Opportunity Score for website design than a restaurant that already has a strong website.

Designed for AI agents

AI Business Opportunity Finder provides structured output suitable for automated workflows and AI agents.

An agent can use the Actor to answer questions such as:

  • Which restaurants in Berlin could be prospects for website design?
  • Find hotels in Munich that may need digital marketing services.
  • Find local businesses in London that could be potential SaaS customers.
  • Rank potential B2B customers using public business signals.

Data sources

The Actor analyzes publicly available business listing data.

Availability of individual fields depends on the information published for each business. Some businesses may not provide a website, phone number, rating, reviews, or other fields.

Important limitations

Opportunity Score, Trust Score, and Risk are heuristic research indicators.

They do not represent:

  • Guaranteed sales potential
  • Guaranteed revenue
  • Creditworthiness
  • Legal verification
  • Fraud detection
  • Certification of a business
  • Proof that a company is trustworthy or untrustworthy

Always perform appropriate independent verification before entering into a commercial or financial relationship.

Privacy and responsible use

This Actor is designed for legitimate business research using public business information.

Users are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, marketing, anti-spam, consumer protection, and data protection laws when using the results.

Separate data-source costs and safety limits

The price shown for this Actor covers its own events. It does not include the paid child Actor's charges. The child run is billed separately to the Apify account executing it, using that provider's current pricing and your applicable discount tier. A maximum charge set on this main run is not a combined spending limit for the main and child runs.

This Actor starts at most one paid data-source run, with a $0.35 child event-charge cap and a 90-second child timeout. Before starting, it checks the provider's current published minimum spending cap. If that minimum exceeds $0.35, or current PPE pricing cannot be verified, it stops without starting a paid run. It never raises the cap automatically and does not retry a paid start. Result-count inputs are not monetary caps. Source records can be charged even when later filtered out or deduplicated.

Example only, using the provider's Free-tier basic-record price checked on 15 October 2026: 60 basic Google Maps places at $0.003 each would be about $0.18, plus the child start charge. Add this Actor's own start/result charges and any separately applicable platform usage. Actual charges depend on returned records, provider pricing and account tier; this example is not a quote or guaranteed total. Review the child run's pricing and charges in Apify Console.

A failed, timed-out, aborted, or unconfirmed child run causes this Actor to fail rather than publish partial data as complete. On cancellation it attempts to abort a known active child run. Cleanup is best effort: a hard stop, lost start response or network outage can prevent confirmation. The child-side timeout and event-charge cap still apply; they are not a guarantee covering unrelated runs or every separately billed platform resource. The main processing deadline is 240 seconds, excluding container startup and platform shutdown.

Records without an actual name and valid HTTP(S) source URL are excluded. Missing or malformed rating/review metrics remain null; they are not reported as observed zeroes. Existing heuristic scoring treats unavailable signals conservatively and is not an independent verification of demand or trust.
