n8n is a workflow automation platform where you can run Apify Actors as workflow steps or as tools for AI agents, and send the results to 1,000+ apps.

n8n lets you build workflows on a visual canvas, and run them on n8n Cloud or your own server. With the Apify node, built by Apify and verified by n8n, you can run any Actor in Apify Store, start a workflow when a run finishes, and pass the results to CRMs, spreadsheets, vector databases, and messaging apps.

On n8n Cloud, you add the Apify node from the nodes panel: search for Apify and click Install node.

• Run Actors and tasks. Start any Actor or saved task from a workflow, with input you set in the node or pass from an earlier step.
• Run an Actor and get its results in one step. The node waits for the run to finish and returns the dataset items, ready for the next node.
• Fetch a single page. Web Fetch returns one URL's content as Markdown, text, HTML, links, or raw output, which suits AI steps that need a page's text.
• Start workflows when a run finishes. Apify Trigger fires when a selected Actor or task run succeeds, fails, is aborted, or times out.
• Give an AI agent access to Actors. Add Apify as a tool on an AI Agent node to run the Actors you configure, or add Apify MCP and let the agent search Apify Store and pick the Actor itself.
• Read storage and run details. Get dataset items, key-value store records, and run status for monitoring and follow-up steps.

Lead generation into your CRM. Run Google Maps Scraper  from a Schedule Trigger and map each place to a contact in HubSpot or Pipedrive. Sales gets new businesses that match the search every week, without a CSV export.

Job market tracking. Pull new postings with LinkedIn Jobs Scraper  every morning, filter them by role and location with an If node, and append the matches to Google Sheets or post them to Slack.

Social media monitoring. Track accounts and hashtags with Instagram Scraper  and TikTok Scraper , and send new posts with their engagement counts to a Slack channel on a schedule.

RAG chatbots. Crawl a documentation site with Website Content Crawler , load the pages into a Pinecone vector store, and rerun the crawl on a schedule so the chatbot answers from current content.

Research agents. Add Google Search Results Scraper  to an AI Agent node as a tool. The agent runs the necessary searches and returns a summary with links to its sources.

1. Add the Apify node. On n8n Cloud, open the nodes panel, search for Apify, and click Install node. On a self-hosted instance, install @apify/n8n-nodes-apify from Settings > Community Nodes first.
2. Connect your Apify account. Create an Apify credential with OAuth2 on n8n Cloud, or paste your API token from Apify Console under Settings > API & Integrations.
3. Pick a trigger or an action. Use Apify Trigger to start a workflow when a run finishes, or Run an Actor to start a run from any other event. Copy the Actor's JSON input from its input page in Apify Console into the node.
4. Map the results. Use Run an Actor and get dataset, or Get items with the run's dataset ID, and connect the items to the next node.
