Digimart Japan Used Guitar & Instrument Prices

What it does: Type a keyword and get what about 2,000 Japanese music shops are asking for used guitars, basses, keyboards and other instruments on Digimart.

You enter: model name, e.g. Stratocaster; optional category ID (1 = electric guitars, table below).

You get: typical price and lowest–highest over all matching listings (a long run says if it fell back to a sample); from the 100 cheapest sampled: used vs new price and discount, count by condition (new / used / vintage / outlet / B-stock), top brands, share in stock.

Price: $0.02 per keyword. +$0.002 per listing if you also want the list. No results = no charge.

A default run (1 keyword, summary only) costs $0.02. You pay per keyword; there is no monthly fee. A keyword that returns zero listings is never charged.

Category IDs — the numbers worth knowing

Digimart's category menu is in Japanese only, so here are the ones most keywords need. Measured on 2026-08-18: the count is the whole category, and the name is the one Digimart puts on that page.

For anything else, open the category on Digimart and copy the number out of the URL (…/search?categoryId=<number>).

What it is worth: measured on 2026-08-18, Stratocaster with categoryId: "1" returns 7,932 listings, all of them electric guitars, cheapest ¥5,500 — against 8,933 hits with no category, whose 100 cheapest are 86 parts and 8 accessories.

When a keyword comes back empty, or is answered by parts

Two fields say so, and hint says what to do next:

A keyword that returns nothing is never charged, so trying another spelling costs nothing.

Where each price number comes from — every record says so

Every record carries priceJpyBasis, so you never have to guess whether a number covers every listing or only a sample:

The fallback is the point: if Digimart ever changes its sort behaviour, the Actor stops saying the numbers cover every listing instead of quietly returning wrong ones.

usedPriceJpy, newPriceJpy, usedVsNew, conditionBreakdown, brandTop, categoryTop and inStockRatioSampled always come from the sampled listings only (sampledListings tells you how many). With the default maxItemsPerKeyword: 100 the sample is the 100 cheapest listings; raise it to 200/400 and the sample is automatically spread across the price range using the cut-off pages the Actor reads anyway — no extra requests, no extra time.

Measured on 2026-08-17 (real run, Stratocaster with no categoryId). The whole record, nothing shortened. keywordStatus, mixedKeywordLikely and hint were added on 2026-08-18 and are shown with the values this record produces — its top category is parts, which is exactly what the flag is for.

This run was made with no categoryId on purpose, and it shows what that costs: categoryTop says 86 of the 100 sampled listings are pickups and parts, brandTop is led by Fender but carries the parts maker ALLPARTS, and usedVsNew.discountVsNewPct comes out at −44.4% — the used instruments sit above the "new" side because that side is dominated by cheap parts. The whole-search priceJpy still covers all 8,940 matches, but its ¥150 low end is a part, not a guitar. That is exactly the artefact categoryId removes — and the Actor reports the number rather than hiding it.

What this Actor does not do

• No listing dumps by default. The product is the statistic; individual listings are opt-in and separately priced
• No login-only data. Everything comes from public search pages
• Nothing is stored. Every run reads the site live; nothing is kept between runs
• No seller PII. Shop-level names only, never individuals

Notes on the data

• Condition codes come from Digimart's own instru_type field: 1 new, 2 used, 3 vintage, 4 new-outlet, 5 B-stock. They are read from the structured payload the site emits, not guessed from the title
• sortKey is always sent explicitly. The platform default is a relevance order that would skew every price statistic — the same trap as a portal's "recommended" sort
• Parts noise is real. Use categoryId for any keyword that names an instrument shape rather than a specific model; the record says mixedKeywordLikely: true when it happened
• Prices are the listed asking prices including tax as shown by the seller; Digimart is a listing platform, so these are asking prices, not sold prices

If something goes wrong

• Wrong number or a failed run? Open a ticket on the Issues tab. I read every one and reply within 2 business days (Japan time).
• You never get a fake "empty" result. If the site can't be read, the run fails and says so.
• No results = no charge. You only pay for results you actually get.
• Checked every week. An automatic test runs this tool weekly; if the site changes, I fix it.
• Public pages only. No login, no personal data, and it goes easy on the site.
