YouTube Video Details Scraper takes a list of YouTube video or Shorts URLs and returns their full stats in one table: views, likes, comment count, publish date, duration, tags, description, hashtags and the channel's subscriber count. It is made for marketers, agencies, analysts and creators who need bulk YouTube video statistics, or want to enrich a spreadsheet of video links, without a YouTube API key or daily quota.

What does YouTube Video Details Scraper do?

You paste video links or IDs. For each one, the robot loads the public video data and the watch page and combines them into one row: exact views, likes, number of comments, publish date (as an ISO date and as YouTube's text), length, live flag, tags, full description, hashtags, thumbnail, and the channel's name, ID, URL and subscriber count.

It accepts:

  • Watch URLs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ
  • Short links: https://youtu.be/jNQXAC9IVRw
  • Shorts URLs: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/<id>
  • Live and embed URLs: /live/<id>, /embed/<id>
  • Plain 11-character video IDs: dQw4w9WgXcQ

You can mix these formats and send as many videos as you want in one run. The robot works on 3 videos at a time.

No login, no cookies and no YouTube Data API key are needed.

A line that is not a YouTube video gives an error item:

{
"input": "https://www.youtube.com/@example",
"error": "Invalid video URL or ID",
"scrapedAt": "2026-10-09T20:09:25.143Z"
}

How much does it cost?

The robot uses pay per event pricing. You pay only for the videos returned, and Apify platform usage is already included in the price.

EventPrice (Free plan)
Video scraped$0.0015 per video, which is $1.50 per 1,000 videos

Paid Apify plans get a discount:

PlanPrice per 1,000 videos
Free$1.50
Bronze (-10%)$1.35
Silver (-20%)$1.20
Gold and higher (-30%)$1.05

Worked examples on the Free plan:

  • The 2 example videos of the default input: $0.003.
  • A spreadsheet of 1,000 video links: $1.50 ($1.05 on Gold).
  • Tracking 500 campaign videos every day for 30 days = 15,000 videos: $22.50 ($20.25 on Bronze, $18.00 on Silver, $15.75 on Gold).

What is NOT charged:

  • Error items: lines that are not a video URL or ID (Invalid video URL or ID) and videos that are private, removed or otherwise unavailable (Video not available…).
  • Empty lines, and lines that are exactly the same as an earlier line.

Use cases

  • Campaign and influencer reporting: track views, likes and comments of sponsored videos every day with a schedule.
  • Enrich a spreadsheet: turn a column of video links into live numbers, dates and durations.
  • Engagement benchmarks: compare likes per view and comments per view across creators, using subscribers for context.
  • Content research: collect tags (keywords), hashtags and descriptions of top videos in your niche.
  • Data cleaning: check which links in a list are still online (unavailable videos return an error item).
  • Build datasets for analytics or AI: combine with transcripts and comments for a complete view of each video.
  • Media monitoring: watch the growth of news, trailer or launch videos over their first days.

Tips and limits

  • views is exact; likes, comments and subscribers are rounded. Views come from YouTube's video data as a full number. Likes, comment count and subscribers are read from what the page shows (for example 19M likes becomes 19000000, 4.55M subscribers becomes 4550000).
  • isShort is based on your link. It is true when you pasted a /shorts/ URL and null otherwise. null does not mean the video is not a Short. Use /shorts/ links if you need this flag.
  • published is a calendar date (YYYY-MM-DD) without a time. publishedText keeps YouTube's wording, which can include labels such as "Premiered" or "Streamed live on".
  • Some fields can be null. For example likes or comments when YouTube does not show a number for that video, or subscribers when YouTube shows no subscriber count.
  • Duplicates are removed by exact text. The same link pasted twice is scraped once, but the same video in two link formats (for example a watch?v= URL and a youtu.be URL) is scraped, and charged, twice. Use one format per video if your list may contain repeats.
  • Only videos, not channels or playlists. Paste channel or playlist links into the related scrapers below.
  • Error items. Invalid video URL or ID when a line is not a video, and Video not available (with YouTube's reason when given) when the video can't be loaded. These items are free.
  • Text is in English where YouTube adds its own words (publishedText), because the robot asks YouTube for the English interface.
  • Proxy. Requests go through Apify Proxy, with retries on new IPs and a last try on the Residential proxy group when your account has access to it.

Use it from the API, Python or JavaScript

JavaScript (Node.js):

const { ApifyClient } = require('apify-client');
const client = new ApifyClient({ token: 'YOUR_TOKEN' });
const input = {
videos: [
'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ',
'https://youtu.be/jNQXAC9IVRw',
],
};
const run = await client.actor('juliob.rangel/youtube-video-details').call(input);
const { items } = await client.dataset(run.defaultDatasetId).listItems();
for (const v of items) console.log(v.title, v.views, v.likes, v.comments);

Python:

from apify_client import ApifyClient
client = ApifyClient('YOUR_TOKEN')
run_input = {
'videos': [
'https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ',
'https://youtu.be/jNQXAC9IVRw',
],
}
run = client.actor('juliob.rangel/youtube-video-details').call(run_input=run_input)
items = client.dataset(run['defaultDatasetId']).list_items().items
for v in items:
print(v.get('title'), v.get('views'), v.get('likes'), v.get('comments'))

You can also call it over plain HTTP with the Apify API (for example the run-sync-get-dataset-items endpoint of juliob.rangel~youtube-video-details).

It works with Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets export, webhooks and AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

FAQ

Do I need a login, cookies or a YouTube API key? No. The robot reads public video data the way a logged-out visitor sees it, so there is no daily quota.

Can I export the results to Excel or CSV? Yes. Click Export in the Output tab and choose Excel, CSV, JSON, HTML or XML.

How many videos can I check in one run? There is no limit in the input. Each line in videos is one row, and the robot works through the list 3 videos at a time.

Does it work with Shorts and live streams? Yes. Paste /shorts/ or /live/ URLs, or the video ID. Live content has isLive set to true.

Why are likes or comments rounded? YouTube shows these numbers rounded on the page (for example 2.4M), and that is the number the robot reads. Views are exact.

Why did I get an error item? The line was not a YouTube video URL or ID, or the video is private, removed or otherwise unavailable. Error items are not charged.

Is scraping YouTube video data legal? The robot only collects publicly available data. You are responsible for complying with YouTube's terms and with privacy laws such as GDPR and LGPD. If you store personal data, you need a legitimate reason.
