Reliability release. Over the last 30 days 22% of runs ended failed and 8% were aborted; the cause was measured and fixed. Review rows and the price are unchanged.
- Runs no longer fail on accounts with a small proxy pool. Indeed's Cloudflare check judges the IP: an address is served every time or never, and it refuses more than half of all datacenter IPs. 1.0 drew eight random proxy sessions and gave up — fatal on a pool of five IPs. 1.1 sweeps the pool (8 sessions at once, then 16), keeps the sessions that are served for the whole run, and falls back to residential IPs only when the entire pool is refused.
- Reviews are delivered page by page. A refusal half-way, an abort or your maximum cost now keeps — and has billed — exactly what was delivered; 1.0 threw the whole company away. The status row says
partial with the reason. The run card shows progress during long walks.
- Large companies are read 3-4 times faster. Pages of one company are requested ahead (up to three downloads per proxy session) instead of one at a time, each page is decoded once instead of twice, and the default memory is 1 GB instead of 512 MB (the work is CPU-bound, so the run is shorter and no dearer). Measured on the platform: 2,000 Walmart reviews in 96 seconds at the default two sessions; 1.0 read about 360 a minute.
- Company names work.
Home Depot, Ernst & Young or amazon are resolved by Indeed itself (to The-Home-Depot, Ey, Amazon.com); rows carry the resolved slug in company. Two spellings of one company are billed once. URLs pasted without https:// or with %27-style encoding are read correctly.
- An unknown company is not a failed run. It ends successfully with the reason and nothing charged, and its status row lists the closest company names Indeed knows in the new
suggestions field. A blocked source still fails loudly.
maxReviewsPerCompany counts delivered reviews. With a filter it now means "N reviews that pass the filter": 50 with jobTitleContains: "nurse" delivers 50 nurse reviews. 1.0 read the first 50 reviews and delivered the nurses among them. A run still never charges more than the cap.
- New:
onlyNewReviews. Monitoring mode for scheduled runs: each run delivers and bills only the reviews that appeared since the previous one. Status rows gain already_seen.
- Store listing and input descriptions reworded so that AI agents can pick the right inputs on the first call; input names, types, defaults and the price are unchanged.
- Reliability: a run that cannot act on its input — a URL from the wrong site, a name nothing resolves to, an empty target list, a number outside the documented range — now ends cleanly with the reason on the run card instead of as a failed run. Nothing is charged in either case; a blocked or throttled source still fails loudly.
- Store listing: moved into the categories buyers actually browse (the old
Business category has no Store page).
First release.
- Every Indeed employee review of a company from
/cmp/<Company>/reviews: overall 1-5 rating, the five sub-ratings (work-life balance, compensation and benefits, job security and advancement, management, culture), headline, full text, pros, cons, job title, location, current/former status, publication date, helpful and unhelpful votes, the employer's reply and a direct link.
- Free
company row per company: Indeed's own rating, the worldwide review count, the 1-5 star histogram, the five category averages, the Work Happiness score, the topic breakdown, the pros and cons Indeed extracts, plus industry, size, headquarters, website, founded year, revenue band and CEO from the company overview page.
- Free
status row per company and country domain, so a refusal is always status='error' with a reason and never an empty company.
- 44 Indeed country domains, plus
all — www.indeed.com with Indeed's own fcountry=ALL, which returns nearly every review of a company in one walk. Reviews served by more than one domain are delivered and charged once.
- Dates are read in the domain's own language (English US and UK forms, German, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Turkish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech, Romanian, Ukrainian, Japanese and Chinese), and the raw string Indeed printed is kept alongside as
review_date_text.
- Pre-billing filters:
minRating, maxRating, requireText, jobTitleContains, locationContains, sinceDate (relative dates allowed). Filtered reviews are never charged.
- Paging guards Indeed's silent wrap-around: a
start past the last page answers HTTP 200 with page 1 again, so the walk is bounded by the declared review count, by the page number Indeed reports and by review ids already seen.
- Early stops that save requests:
sinceDate with newest-first, maxRating with lowest-rated-first and minRating with highest-rated-first each end the walk at the first page entirely past the cut.
- Pay per review, $0.002. Companies with no reviews, unknown companies, company rows, status rows and filtered reviews are free.
