RSS Feed Reader

Turn public RSS and Atom feeds into clean JSON. Give a list of feed addresses and get one tidy row per item.

What you get

FieldMeaning
titleItem title as plain text
linkAddress of the item
publishedDate in UTC, ISO 8601 (the update date if there is no publish date; empty if the feed gives none)
authorAuthor, when the feed gives one
summarySummary with HTML removed, up to 2,000 characters
categoriesCategories or tags
enclosuresAttached files, such as podcast audio
idThe feed's own item id
feedUrl, feedTitleWhich feed the item came from

Input

  • feedUrls: up to 50 feed addresses
  • maxItemsPerFeed: up to 500, default 50
  • onlyLastDays: leave out older items (items without a date are kept)

Pricing

You pay per item returned. A feed that cannot be read gives a row with error and is not charged.

Good to know

  • No login, no API key, no account.
  • Only http and https on the standard ports. Internal addresses are refused, also after a redirect.
  • A feed larger than 10 MB is not read.
  • A run stops starting new feeds after 4 minutes; feeds not read are listed with error and not charged.
  • Duplicate items inside one feed are returned once. Duplicates between feeds are not removed.
  • The content belongs to each feed's publisher. Please respect their terms when you reuse it.
