Slovenia Company Check (Registration Number)

Check companies in Slovenia by their registration number (matična številka) in one call and get a clean English JSON answer with red flags, source attribution and a date on every field. Built for AI agents (MCP) and for KYB / AML onboarding, counterparty and supplier due diligence, vendor risk and compliance checks.

• One schema for every country: the same fields and flags whether you check one Slovenia company or a thousand — your agent parses one format.
• Agent-ready: an MCP server (Streamable HTTP, /mcp) with check_company, check_companies and list_sources, a plain GET /check?country=&id= endpoint, and classic batch runs (list of numbers → dataset).
• Change history: registers publish only the current state; we keep our own snapshots, so every answer shows what was added or removed since history_since (e.g. a status change or a new sanctions listing).
• Pay per check (one charge per company answered; the price is on the Pricing tab), no subscription. Malformed numbers, sole traders and individuals are not charged. In Standby (MCP / HTTP) mode Apify also bills the small platform usage of the server run, as for every Standby Actor. Set a maximum cost per run in Apify to cap spending: when it is reached, the Actor returns an error instead of data.

Data refreshed at least weekly; every field carries its source date (provenance), and every answer lists each source with the date it was loaded (sources[].loaded_at; list_sources is free).

flags — true is a red flag: not_found (the number is not in the register dump), not_active, insolvency, liquidation, sanctions (match by registration number or LEI), sanctions_name_match (same name, same country: verify manually). false means there is no record in the loaded snapshot — it is not a clean bill of health. null means unknown. Call list_sources (free) for load times.

Slovenia: The FURS list of tax-registered legal persons covers live companies, cooperatives, associations, institutes and public bodies with a Slovenian registration number; removed (dissolved) entities are not included, and foreign taxpayers without a Slovenian registration number are not covered. A valid registration number without a record therefore returns not_found: null (unknown, not fictitious) and is not charged.

Slovenia notes. The identifier is the matična številka (registration number of the Slovenian Business Register, AJPES): 7 digits with a check digit, optionally followed by a 3-digit unit suffix (000 = the entity itself); 5043611 and 5043611000 are the same company. The VAT / tax number (davčna številka, SI + 8 digits) is not accepted as input, but it is returned in vat.number and extra.tax_number. Data comes from the Financial Administration (FURS) daily list of tax-registered legal persons: removed companies drop off the list, so a valid number without a record is reported as unknown and is not billed. Slovenian law requires a company in proceedings to add a designation to its name: v stečaju (in bankruptcy) and v prisilni poravnavi (compulsory settlement) and bankruptcy over assets found later → insolvency; v likvidaciji, v prostovoljni likvidaciji and v prisilni likvidaciji → in_liquidation; premoženje izbrisane pravne osebe (assets of a deleted company) → dissolved. FURS cuts names at 100 characters; for such names without a designation status is unknown (the designation may have been cut off) and extra.name_truncated is true. legal_form is read from the form designation in the name (d.o.o., d.d., k.d. …) and is null for associations, institutes and public bodies whose names carry none. Industry is the national SKD code as filed with FURS. Country flag vat_revoked_ex_officio (true = red): FURS revoked the company's VAT identification on its own motion (Article 80 ZDDV-1) and it has not re-registered since. Sole traders (s.p.) and other natural persons registered for an activity, and condominium owners' communities (whose names are street addresses), are not supported. Addresses are postcode and town only; street addresses that some companies carry in their registered name are removed from the name (extra.name_address_removed). The open data has no registration or dissolution dates, and status is derived from the mandatory name suffixes, not from a register status field. Spaces and dashes are accepted; send the number without a country prefix. Legal entities only: sole traders and other natural persons are not supported, not stored and not charged. No data about people (officers, owners, contacts) is ever returned; addresses are city level only.
