Export UK property listings from OnTheMarket — price, address, bedrooms, tenure, coordinates and the marketing agent's name and telephone — to JSON, CSV or Excel. Keyless, no login.
What does OnTheMarket Scraper do?
OnTheMarket is the UK's agent-owned portal and the third major listing source alongside Rightmove and Zoopla. Its stock overlaps but is not identical: agencies list here first under the portal's "new and exclusive" window, so properties often appear before they reach the larger portals.
The Actor reads the search page's own Redux state rather than the rendered cards. That matters for two columns buyers care about most. Coordinates arrive as real latitude and longitude instead of a map pin you would have to geocode. And every listing carries its marketing agent — name, agency profile URL and a direct telephone number — which turns a property export into an estate-agency lead list.
Tenure is a special case: OnTheMarket publishes it inside the free-text feature bullets rather than as a field. It is extracted into its own tenure column so leasehold and freehold stock can be filtered without string surgery, while the full bullet list is kept as well.
Who is it for?
- Estate agencies tracking competitor stock, pricing and listing age by area.
- Proptech, CRM and portal vendors prospecting agency branches by phone.
- Property investors filtering leasehold versus freehold at a price band.
- Market analysts measuring asking prices per bedroom across postcodes.
- Developers building UK property feeds that need coordinates.
Use cases
- Build an estate-agency contact list for a town, with phone numbers and stock counts.
- Spot new instructions early using the listing age and spotlight labels.
- Compare asking price per bedroom between neighbouring postcodes.
- Filter freehold houses under a budget across a whole city.
- Map inventory density from exact coordinates.
Why use this Actor?
- Agent leads included — name, phone and agency profile on every row.
- Exact coordinates — latitude and longitude, no geocoding step.
- Tenure extracted from the marketing bullets into its own column.
- Sale and rental from one channel switch.
- Price qualifier kept — "Offers in excess of" is not silently dropped.
- Keyless — no account, no API token, no login.
What data can you extract?
Every row carries the property ID and URL, title, full address, price as label and number with currency, price qualifier, bedroom and bathroom counts, property type, tenure, the complete feature bullets, latitude and longitude, agent name, phone, ID and profile URL, listing age and label, image count and cover image, virtual-tour and spotlight flags, and the transaction type.
How to use it
- Search your area on OnTheMarket and copy the location slug from the URL (e.g.
london,manchester,se1). - Choose sale or rental, and optionally a property type.
- Set a price band and minimum bedrooms if you need them.
- Set Maximum results and run, then export JSON, CSV or Excel.
Input example
{"location": "manchester","channel": "for-sale","propertyType": "houses","minPrice": 200000,"maxPrice": 600000,"minBedrooms": 3,"maxResults": 1000}
Notes and limits
- OnTheMarket paginates to roughly 1,000 properties per search. For larger areas, slice the search by price band or by narrower location slugs and merge the exports.
- Prices are asking prices, and some new-build entries quote a development's starting price rather than a specific unit's.
- Agent telephone numbers are the branch's advertised marketing line, not a personal number.
- This Actor exports the search results, not full property pages — open the property URL for the complete description, floorplan and EPC.
- You are responsible for how you use listing and agency data, including under UK GDPR and PECR when contacting agencies.
FAQ
Do I need an OnTheMarket account? No. Listings are public and the Actor needs nothing from you.
Where do I find the location slug?
Run a search on OnTheMarket and copy the segment after /for-sale/property/ in the URL.
Does it cover rentals? Yes — switch the channel to "To rent".
How is this different from a Rightmove export? Different portal, different stock. OnTheMarket carries agent-exclusive listings that appear here first, so running both gives fuller coverage of a market.
How am I charged? Pay per result — you pay for the properties delivered.
