What Koreans are actually saying, from the platform they actually use. Google has minority share in South Korea. NAVER is where blogs, community cafes, news and Q&A live - and this actor searches all of it through the official NAVER API.

One keyword, up to 8 verticals, structured rows.

VerticalWhat it gives you
BlogsPost title, snippet, blogger name, blogger URL, publish date
NewsHeadline, snippet, NAVER link, original publisher link, publish time
CafesCommunity thread title, snippet, cafe name, cafe URL
Q&A (지식iN)Question title and answer snippet - raw consumer intent
Web documentsBroad web results indexed by NAVER
EncyclopediaReference entries with thumbnails
Local businessesName, category, address, road address, GPS coordinates
ImagesImage URL, thumbnail, dimensions

Every row carries the keyword that found it and a scrape timestamp, so repeat runs build a mention timeline.

Export as JSON, CSV or Excel, or pull from the API.

What people use it for

Brand and reputation monitoring - Track every mention of your brand across Korean blogs, news and community cafes on a schedule. Cafes in particular are where Korean consumers speak candidly, and no global tool covers them.

PR and news tracking - Follow coverage of a company, product or issue with publisher links and timestamps.

Market and consumer research - 지식iN questions are unfiltered consumer intent: what buyers are confused about, what they compare, what they fear.

Content and SEO research - See which blogs rank for your keywords, who writes them, and how often they publish.

Competitive intelligence - Run competitor names on a schedule and watch their coverage volume and messaging shift.

How to use it

  1. Get a free NAVER API HUB credential at https://www.ncloud.com (Services > Application Services > NAVER API HUB). Register an application and enable the search APIs. Free quota at the time of writing is 25,000 calls per day per API
  2. Paste Client ID and Client Secret into the input
  3. Enter keywords (Korean returns the richest results, English works) and pick verticals
  4. Set max results per keyword and vertical (NAVER caps paging at 1,000 per search)
  5. Run it, or schedule it for continuous monitoring

Notes

  • Searching 3 keywords across 4 verticals is 12 searches - quota is per API, so this stays well inside the free tier for normal use
  • NAVER returns matched terms wrapped in bold tags; this actor strips them so text is clean
  • Sorting by relevance or newest applies to text verticals; local and image search ignore it
  • The NAVER local API no longer returns phone numbers, so that column is deliberately absent. For phone numbers use our Naver Map Scraper

Pairs with

Naver Map Scraper and Naver Place Detail & Menu Scraper (local business data with contacts and menus), Korean Price Comparison Scraper (product prices), Korean Company Filings & Financials (DART). The same Korea data toolkit.

FAQ

Do I need my own API credential? Yes, and it is free. Your usage runs under your own quota, so no shared rate limits.

Is this official? Yes - this uses NAVER's own API through NAVER Cloud Platform, not scraped HTML. That means it does not break when NAVER changes its page markup.

Will it stay free? NAVER API HUB is currently offered free of charge and states that any move to paid pricing will be announced in advance. Check the current terms when you register.

Do I need Korean? No. Field names are English. Content comes back in Korean as published - pipe it through a translator if needed.
