Hello,
Thanks for the report. These are good examples that the scraper should have added to filter out. The team will look into it. That being said, there are pretty much an infinite number of these non-user accounts so the data will never be 100% clean. The team will keep working on improvements though.
Oh no!!!! I'm disappointed with this, to capture 1,500 locations they are using more than 10 dollars!!!! and the information is wrong!!! This is absurd, if they are going to charge from August 25th for this capture with wrong information it will be good to give up everything, people are not going to pay for this, and I am being harmed at this moment
few below but I believe there must be hundreds of errors, I'm disappointed with this instagram.com/accounts - instagram.com/about/ - instagram.com/blog - instagram.com/web/
You need to have a filter to not capture certain fields, these are coming in a lot and I don't like it, I'm going to stop using it https://www.instagram.com/reel/ www.instagram.com/embed.js
Hello,
Sorry for the late reply.
The important thing is that you don't pay for the number of emails or social links. You pay for the number of pages processed. So the only problem with these generic links is that they pollute the data, it doesn't have an impact on cost or speed.
But the team will definitely keep improving this and add more filters, it might just take a few weeks before getting deployed because there is other priority work. Thanks for patience.
Hello
You are not right, you did not understand, there are processed pages that only contain these fields that are wrong, wrong results, without any correct results, so, it is not just about polluting, but also about discounting the value, if all the fields of a processed page are wrong, it is clear that I am being harmed. Am I or am I not paying for incorrect information, if I am, then this method of yours should be improved or banned by apify. Either fix this, or you cannot charge for processed pages.
How do I filter out the fact that I don't want this link to be captured? https://www.instagram.com/web/
The developers will fix this
I am looking forward to a solution.
Do you need me to help you as well by telling you which fields I found to be useless? Or are you going to put a filter in place so that when scraping the wrong results are not captured?
If you could provide some examples, it would be very useful. As I mentioned above, there are huge variations of these generic social handles so we will not be able to catch all (and recognize all vs normal accounts) but we can probably catch the majority.
I'm listing some that I found during the scrapings and also those that other users posted in the issues. There are certainly dozens of others

I don't like this actor, it's very bad, capturing wrong fields and charging
It is not good practice to charge and not provide the correct information. Does anyone know if APIFY is aware of these practices and how to send them to AFIFY to investigate?
Hello,
As I said above, you are not getting charged per contact detail, but per scraped page. By default, the scraper will go through 3 pages from each domain - so that is what you are paying for. We don't know upfront how many emails will be on each domain so some will have many good emails and some not.
That being said, a new Actor is coming which will have email scraping directly integrated to the Google Maps Scraper, it will be much easier to use.
Hello,
You said exactly what happens, you are charged per result, in a location, you find 3 URLs and the user is charged for 3 results and not for 1 location that had information. This is the big problem, if you were to charge per location I would think it was fair, but charging per result, the result has to be valid, or else you go back to when you were not charged, it is unfair and this will not be good for the future of your script. I, personally, like Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, the one that interests me the least is email.
Do you want to stay "alive" with this script? Go back to how it was before, and only start charging when these problems are solved.
Hello,
You are right that there was an issue that social media URLs from Google Maps were enqueuing other 3 social pages. That was a bug and was fixed a week ago. So there won't be any more pages taken from social media pages.
The initial issues was about gathering these as data so I will keep this issue open
To import the list, what extension/format should it be in? CSV XLSX .json .json1
Hello violet_shrub,
I'm not sure what list you mean. Could you open a new issue, please? Your question seems unrelated to he original report. Thanks
I opened the issue a few days ago, but no one had responded. https://console.apify.com/actors/WnMxbsRLNbPeYL6ge/issues/eaL0dkg5Kd8TzMXWb
