List the apps in a Shopify App Store category and the extensions in a Chrome Web Store category, find them by keyword, or read listing URLs you already have. Each app comes back as one flat row with its rating, review count, pricing (Shopify) or users (Chrome), and its developer: name, website, domain, address, and, on Chrome, the contact email and phone the developer publishes. Use it to build lead lists of app developers, map a partner ecosystem, or track a category.
Features
- Two stores, one row layout. Shopify apps and Chrome extensions share the same columns, so one table holds both.
- Developer contact data. The developer website and its domain on every row, the business address, and on Chrome the published email and phone. The domain is the registrable domain (
developers.klaviyo.comreadsklaviyo.com), ready to join to a company list. - Categories, keywords, or URLs. Give Shopify category slugs or URLs and Chrome categories, keywords, or listing URLs, in any mix.
- Filters. Skip apps below a minimum rating or review count before their listing page is read, so you do not pay for them.
- Built for Shopify flag, launch date, and pricing line on Shopify rows; users, version, and last update on Chrome rows.
How it reads the stores
Category pages and listing pages are fetched directly, and robots.txt is read for every host and checked before every request. Neither store allows its search page to be crawled, so a keyword is matched without it: on Shopify against every app name in the store's own app sitemap, and on Chrome against the extensions listed on the category pages. No login, no API key, and no other developer's actor. A host that refuses a request is retried through the Apify proxy.
Input
| Field | Type | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
categories | array | Shopify category slugs or URLs, and Chrome categories such as productivity/workflow | |
keywords | array | Words to match; every word must match | |
app_urls | array | Listing URLs to read directly | |
stores | array | both | The stores a keyword is searched in: shopify_app_store, chrome_web_store |
max_apps | string | 50 | Apps per category and per keyword, up to 500. A Chrome category page lists about 32 |
include_details | string | true | Read each listing page for the developer website, address, email, and dates |
min_rating | string | Skip apps rated below this | |
min_reviews | string | Skip apps with fewer reviews than this | |
max_charge_usd | string | Stop before a row would pass this amount | |
proxy_mode | string | auto | auto, direct, or residential. A reliability choice |
Every field accepts text, as Clay sends it: "true", "10", a comma separated list, or a JSON array.
Output
| Field | Rows | Example |
|---|---|---|
store, source, position, matched_keyword | all | shopify_app_store, category:marketing-and-conversion-marketing-email-marketing, 2 |
app_id, app_name, app_url, tagline, category | all | klaviyo-email-marketing, Klaviyo: Email Marketing & SMS |
rating, review_count | all | 4.7, 3415 |
users, version, last_updated | Chrome | 9000000, 4.24.7, 2026-10-16 |
pricing_text, built_for_shopify, launched_date, developer_page_url | Shopify | Free plan available, true, 2012-09-20 |

developer_email, developer_phone | Chrome | support@screencastify.com |
row_status, error_reason, billable_events_json | all | ok, null, {"app-listing":1} |
The run summary (key-value store record RUN_SUMMARY) lists each source with how many apps it listed, the apps filtered out, and any unreadable pages.
Pricing
Pay per event. You pay only these events; the Apify platform and proxy costs of your run are paid by Mamba Labs.
| Event | Free plan | Bronze | Silver | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|---|
App row (app-listing), one app or extension returned | $0.005 | $0.00475 | $0.0045 | $0.00425 |
Actor start (apify-actor-start), once per run | $0.0006313 | $0.0006313 | $0.0006313 | $0.0006313 |
Free rows: source_error rows for a category, sitemap, or listing that could not be read, and apps below your rating or review filter are skipped and never billed. On the Apify free plan the actor stops at 1.50 USD of evaluation a month (about 300 app rows); any paid Apify plan removes that cap.
Example: two categories at 50 apps each cost 100 app rows, $0.5006313 with the actor start.

Error handling
| Situation | What you get |
|---|---|
| Input with no category, keyword, or URL, or one that is not recognized | One free row, row_status error, error_reason starting with input_invalid:, and the run ends successfully. Nothing is charged by the actor |
| A category does not exist | One free source_error row with not_found |
| A store refuses every route | One free source_error row with row_status blocked |
| A listing page cannot be read for an app found on a category page | The row keeps the category card fields and says partial |
| Nothing matches | One free row with no_results |
| Max charge reached | The run stops before the next billable row |
Limitations
- A Chrome Web Store category page lists about 32 extensions, the ones the store shows first. Larger Chrome lists need more categories or keywords.
- Shopify keyword matching uses app names as they appear in the store's app list, so a keyword that is only in an app's description is not found; use a category for those.
- Shopify does not publish install counts, and Chrome lists no pricing.
- Chrome rating counts are exact on category rows and rounded (11.7K) on the listing page; the exact count is kept when there is one.
- You are responsible for how you use the data and for the terms of the stores you read.
