Pull US trucking company leads straight from the official FMCSA motor carrier census. Search and filter over two million active carriers, then export clean records with phone numbers and full addresses. No login, no API key, no captcha. Public government data only.

This actor is built for freight brokers, factoring companies, insurance agents, ELD and fleet-tech vendors, and anyone who sells to trucking companies and needs fresh, filterable carrier lists.

What it returns

Each result is one motor carrier with the fields sales teams actually use:

  • Legal name and DBA name
  • Phone number
  • Physical address (street, city, state, ZIP, country)
  • Mailing address
  • USDOT number and MC docket number
  • Fleet size (power units) and driver count
  • Cargo carried and operation class (interstate or intrastate)
  • Hazmat flag and business type
  • Operating status and registration date
  • A direct link to the carrier's FMCSA SAFER snapshot

Why this data sells

The census updates near daily, so carriers that just received their operating authority show up within a day or two. New-authority carriers are the highest-value freight and insurance leads, and the addedSince filter isolates them in one run.

Filters

  • searchTerm: full-text keyword across name, city, and cargo
  • state and city: target a region
  • operationClass: interstate or intrastate
  • addedSince: only carriers registered on or after a date (new-authority leads)
  • minPowerUnits: minimum fleet size
  • hazmatOnly: hazmat carriers only
  • activeOnly: active operating status only (on by default)
  • requirePhone: skip carriers with no phone (on by default)
  • sortNewestFirst: newest registrations first (on by default)
  • maxItems: cap the number of records

Example input

{
"state": "TX",
"operationClass": "interstate",
"minPowerUnits": 5,
"addedSince": "2026-01-01",
"requirePhone": true,
"maxItems": 500
}

That returns up to 500 Texas interstate carriers with at least five trucks and a phone number, registered since the start of 2026, newest first.

Output

Results land in the dataset and can be exported to JSON, CSV, Excel, or pulled from the API. Open the dataset's table view for a lead-list layout.

Source and notes

Data comes from the FMCSA Company Census File published on data.transportation.gov (Socrata SODA API). It is public federal data. Phone and address fields reflect what carriers filed with FMCSA, so a small share may be outdated. Records without a phone are skipped by default. Use the exported leads in line with FMCSA terms and applicable outreach rules such as the TCPA.
