Canada Weather & Climate Data (Environment and Climate Change Canada)
Pulls official ECCC data from the MSC GeoMet OGC API (api.weather.gc.ca): daily or monthly climate observations by station, or the station catalogue (filter by province or name). Output is clean JSON/CSV: temperature min/mean/max, precipitation, rain, snow, snow on ground, gusts and degree-days.
No scraping, no personal data. Data is under the Open Government Licence – Canada (attribution is included in each record).
Input: dataset (climate-daily | climate-monthly | climate-stations), climateIds[] (default 702S006 Montréal-Trudeau; also 6158355 Toronto City), province, stationName, dateFrom / dateTo (default 2025-01-01 to 2025-01-07), maxItems. The default is one public station and one week, so the store health run needs no key and returns a few rows.
Fails loudly on 0 records (wrong station ID or date range), on API errors after 3 retries, and on unbounded queries.
