Researchers, community managers, and developers can use WhatsApp Group Link Search Scraper to find public WhatsApp group invite links from a topic search or the GroupWhat directory. Turn on Include WhatsApp Channels to also find publicly indexed Channel invite links. Each saved row gives you a normalized invite URL, the public source page, and discovery details, with public preview data when available. 📦 Public invite links with source context

The Actor saves one row for each public invite link, the first time it finds it. It normalizes the URL and includes the public source page and how the match was found. GroupWhat rows also include the listing's category, country, language, tags, view count, and dates. Public invite previews can include a name, description, image URL, invite type, or availability note when shown.

When the same invite appears again through another topic, listing, or source page, the later match is ignored. The saved row keeps only the first match's source context.

Choose Search by topic to search one public social network for topic matches. Choose Browse directories to browse GroupWhat, a public directory of WhatsApp group listings, optionally filtered by category, country, or language. Choose Search GroupWhat to search GroupWhat listings by topic. Choose Look up GroupWhat listings to check the GroupWhat group pages you paste in. Search by topic can use related phrases, one public search index, or broader coverage across independent public search indexes. Turn on Include WhatsApp Channels to add publicly indexed Channel invite links to topic and directory runs. The GroupWhat search and lookup options return group links only.

The Actor reads public web pages. It does not join WhatsApp groups, read chats, or send messages.

directoryCountry	string	Keeps GroupWhat listings in this country. Use the country name or its directory URL slug. Leave it empty for all countries. Used with directory.
directoryLanguage	string	Keeps GroupWhat listings in this language. Use the language name or its directory URL slug. Leave it empty for all languages. Used with directory.
minimumClaimedMembers	integer	Keeps only listings that claim at least this many members. GroupWhat does not publish member counts, so this currently removes every GroupWhat listing, whatever number you enter. Used with directory.
listingUrls	array of objects	Full URLs of public GroupWhat group pages to check. Each item has a url key. Used with listing.
includeChannels	boolean	Also returns publicly indexed WhatsApp Channel invite links for topic and directory runs. Leave it off to return group links only. groupwhat and listing return group links only.
maxResults	integer	Stops after this many matching links. Leave it empty to collect all available results until public sources are exhausted. This is a limit, not a promise that the source will return this many links.

The output links to the default dataset. Search by topic rows and GroupWhat directory rows have different fields, so each has its own table below. Optional fields appear only when the public source provides them.

Channel invite rows have the same fields as group rows from the same search, but preview.inviteType may be missing. Their inviteUrl is a WhatsApp Channel link.

Each invite is saved once, the first time it is found. If the same invite appears again through another topic, listing, or source page, the later match is ignored. A later match does not change the saved row.

This Actor uses pay-per-event pricing. One Invite link event is charged for each public WhatsApp invite link found and saved to the dataset. Apify shows the current event price before a paid run.

Why can a topic result look broader than my topic?

The topic can match text near an invite on a public source page. The group or Channel name may be broader, and public search results can be stale.

What does broader search coverage do?

Set searchCoverage to broad to check independent public search indexes. The Actor keeps matching links from the available sources.

Can I include WhatsApp Channels?

Yes, for Search by topic and Browse directories. Set includeChannels to true to include publicly indexed Channel invite links. Search GroupWhat and Look up GroupWhat listings return group links only.

Which directory filters can I use?

Browse directories can filter GroupWhat listings by directoryCategory, directoryCountry, and directoryLanguage. Use the category name that GroupWhat shows, such as Cryptocurrency or Football. For a country or language, use its name or its directory URL slug. Leave a filter empty to skip it.

Why does minimumClaimedMembers return no listings?

GroupWhat does not publish member counts. Because of that, minimumClaimedMembers currently removes every GroupWhat listing, whatever number you enter. The output has no member count field.

How do I look up specific GroupWhat listings?

Choose Look up GroupWhat listings, then add the full URL of each public GroupWhat group page to listingUrls. Each page is checked for its group link and public details.

What happens when I leave the result limit empty?

When maxResults is empty, the Actor returns all available results until the public sources are exhausted. The source may still provide fewer links than you expect.

How are duplicate links handled?

The first match is saved. If the same invite appears again through another topic, listing, or source page, the later match is ignored.

What happens when public preview data is missing?

The Actor keeps the available discovery data and does not invent missing preview values. Optional preview fields can be absent.

Can I combine different search setups in one run?

No. Use one discovery method per run, with one set of topics or one directory setup. Run separate jobs for different setups.

Can it verify that an invite still works?

No. A public search match or preview does not prove that an invite is active, official, safe, moderated, or topically exact. Review links before using them.

Can it find private WhatsApp groups?

No. It finds invite links that are discoverable from public web pages and the GroupWhat directory. Private group data is outside the Actor's scope.

Does it join groups or read messages?

No. It does not join groups, read chats, collect member lists, or send messages.

Does it return every WhatsApp group?

No. It does not promise to find every group. The saved set depends on the public sources, your settings, and the matches available. Each invite is saved only once.

• Google results pages get more time to load, and Brave topic searches get more time to finish.
• Rate-limited retries wait longer between tries, so a short rate limit has more time to clear.
• A Facebook topic search that finds no usable results and could not read some public results now reports a source problem instead of finishing empty.
