Input settings

Max posts per keyword	1–3,000; default 100. Choose a smaller target for a quick sample.
Country	Search market, such as us, gb, it or de. Does not verify author location.

Date filtering checks the publication timestamp available on each post. Posts without a verifiable date are excluded when a time range is selected. Use Any time for broader coverage. Results are not guaranteed to arrive in chronological order; sort the date column after export.

For API workflows, afterDate also accepts a calendar date in YYYY-MM-DD format or a relative value such as 30 days. Dates are interpreted in UTC.

The dataset also includes image_url, author_id and group_id when available. Missing details are null. Engagement counts reflect the public page at collection time. Text may be a public preview when full content is unavailable; the Actor does not fill missing text from search summaries.

Each post is saved once per run, even when it is found through multiple topics. searchKeyword records the topic under which it was first saved. The Run summary reports saved, rejected, unavailable and out-of-range posts and elapsed time.

How relevance filtering works

Each retrieved post is evaluated against your topic. Only positive decisions are saved, with isRelevant: true. The probability is an estimate, not a guarantee: review a sample before relying on the results for a business decision. Public text and search topics may be processed by external services to provide this feature.

If relevance checking is unavailable, the run reports an error instead of saving unverified posts. Results already checked remain available.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Facebook account? No. This Actor reads publicly accessible content without a Facebook login or cookies.

Can it read private groups? No. Private, login-restricted and unavailable posts are not included.

Does it scan every post in every group? No. Discovery is limited to publicly discoverable posts, and availability changes over time. This is not a complete archive or a group membership export.

Why are fewer posts returned than requested? Some candidates are unavailable, unrelated, duplicated or outside your time range. Try a broader topic or choose Any time.

Can I collect comments or member lists? This Actor returns posts and available comment counts, not comment text or membership lists.

Does Country mean every author lives there? No. It tunes the search market and language; it does not establish residency or exact location.

Can I monitor topics regularly? Yes. Configure an Apify schedule and connect the output to your existing workflow. Deduplication applies within each run.
