Tripadvisor Review & Hospitality Leads is a Tripadvisor scraper that returns hotels, restaurants and attractions with street address, city, rating, review count, the 1–5 star rating breakdown and the newest reviews, including the owner's reply. It is built for hospitality sales teams, reputation-management agencies and travel researchers, and costs USD 4.00 per 1,000 listings on the FREE tier (USD 3.20 on GOLD) plus one start fee per run.

What data does the Tripadvisor scraper return?

Each dataset row is one Tripadvisor listing, deduplicated by its Tripadvisor ID:

FieldWhat it contains
name, type, tripadvisorIdListing name; hotel, restaurant, attraction or other; the d-number from the URL
listingUrlCanonical Tripadvisor listing page
address, locationStreet address as Tripadvisor shows it, and the city
rating, reviewCountAverage traveler rating (1–5) and total number of reviews
ratingDistributionNumber of reviews per star rating, 1 (terrible) to 5 (excellent)
latestReviewsNewest reviews: title, text, author, date, rating, dateOfVisit, ownerResponse, url
searchRank, isSponsoredPosition in the Tripadvisor search that found the listing, and whether it was a paid placement
categories, priceLevelCategory and price range shown in search (priceLevel is mostly filled for restaurants)
sourceQuery, scrapedAt, warningsThe search that found the listing (null for start URLs), collection time, per-record notes
phone, website, email, rankingNot collected; always null (kept so existing integrations keep working)

The run summary is saved as OUTPUT and SUMMARY: status (SUCCEEDED, EMPTY, FAILED or REJECTED), records, charged lead events, each search with the location it used, and warnings.

How do I get Tripadvisor hotel leads and reviews?

Give the Actor Tripadvisor listing URLs, or search Tripadvisor by keyword and place. A listing URL returns that listing. A search returns the listings Tripadvisor ranks for it, each enriched with address, rating breakdown and newest reviews.

InputExampleNotes
startUrlsNew York Hilton Midtown listing URL (the prefill)Hotel, restaurant or attraction listing URLs from any Tripadvisor domain. City list pages (Hotels-g…, Restaurants-g…, Attractions-g…) and Search pages run as a search instead
searchQueriesboutique hotels in LisbonThe place after "in" sets the search area; ignored when startUrls is set
locationAustin, TexasSearch area for queries that name no place (default New York)
hospitalityTyperestaurantall, hotel, restaurant or attraction; filters search results, never your listing URLs
maxResults501 to 100 listings (default 20)
maxPagesPerInput2Search pages of up to 30 listings each; requested only while more listings are needed
includeReviews, maxReviewsPerListingtrue, 3Newest reviews, 0 to 10 per listing

Listings you already know:

{
"startUrls": [{ "url": "https://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g60763-d611947-Reviews-New_York_Hilton_Midtown-New_York_City_New_York.html" }],
"maxReviewsPerListing": 5
}

Leads from a search:

{
"searchQueries": ["boutique hotels in Lisbon", "seafood restaurants in San Diego"],
"maxResults": 40,
"maxReviewsPerListing": 3
}

How does the search location work?

The Actor matches the place to a city, region or country list. "Lisbon", "NYC" and "Austin, TX" all resolve directly. When a name exists in several places, it picks the best-known one and the warning in OUTPUT names the others, so add the region or country to choose ("London, Ontario", "Paris, Texas"). A place missing from the list can still be searched through its country, for example "Bali, Indonesia". With no search query, the Actor searches hotels, restaurants and attractions in location, or only the type you pick in hospitalityType.

What does the output look like?

One record from a run on 2026-10-31 (review text shortened):

{

How much does Tripadvisor data cost?

The Actor uses pay-per-event pricing, and platform usage is included in the event prices. One lead event is charged after each listing is saved; a listing that cannot be found is not charged.

EventFREEBRONZESILVERGOLD / PLATINUM / DIAMOND
Hospitality lead returned (one dataset row)USD 0.004001USD 0.0039USD 0.0038USD 0.0032
Actor start (per started GB of allocated memory)USD 0.014518USD 0.014155USD 0.013792USD 0.011614

The Actor runs at 256 MB by default, so a run pays one start event. Worked totals on the FREE tier:

  • 1 listing: USD 0.004001 + USD 0.014518 = USD 0.0185
  • 20 listings: 20 × USD 0.004001 + USD 0.014518 = USD 0.0945
  • 100 listings: 100 × USD 0.004001 + USD 0.014518 = USD 0.4146

When should I use it, and when not?

Use it when you need Tripadvisor ratings, review counts, rating breakdowns and fresh review text for hotels, restaurants or attractions: to prospect hotels with slipping ratings for a reputation-management offer, to monitor competitors' newest reviews, or to build a city list of top-rated restaurants with addresses.

Use it from an AI assistant

Tripadvisor Review & Hospitality Leads works from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client through Apify's MCP server. Add the single-tool URL https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=muhammadafzal/tripadvisor-review-hospitality-leads to your client and ask, for example: "Find 20 boutique hotels in Lisbon on Tripadvisor with their rating, review count and newest reviews." Each listing is charged at the prices above, so include a result limit in your request.

Limits and reliability

  • Speed: one listing URL takes about 10–20 seconds; searches with 20 listings, each with reviews, about 20–40 seconds; 100 listings about a minute. All searches in a run are requested together.
  • Scale: 1 to 100 listings per run; one search reaches at most 210 listings.
  • Reviews: the 10 newest reviews per listing at most, translated into the language of the listing URL's domain (English for tripadvisor.com).
  • Missing listings: a closed, merged or moved listing URL returns no record and no charge, with a warning in OUTPUT.
  • Search-only records: if a listing's page cannot be read, the search record is still saved with name, rating and review count, without address and reviews, and a note in warnings.

FAQ

Can I use it instead of the Tripadvisor API?

Yes, for listing and review data. It returns the fields above as JSON, CSV or Excel through the Apify API, without a Tripadvisor partner key.

Does it scrape Tripadvisor reviews?

Yes. Each listing includes up to 10 of its newest reviews with title, text, reviewer name, date, rating, visit month and the owner's reply, plus the rating breakdown across all reviews.

Does it return hotel phone numbers, websites or emails?

No. phone, website and email are always null. Use the Google Maps Actors above for phones and websites.

Is there a free Tripadvisor scraper?

You can run this Actor on Apify's free plan with no subscription. Each listing and the start fee are charged at the FREE-tier prices above.

Which Tripadvisor URLs work?

Hotel, restaurant and attraction listing URLs from any Tripadvisor domain, such as tripadvisor.com or tripadvisor.co.uk, and city list or Search pages. Review-page links (ShowUserReviews…) are not supported; use the listing URL instead.

Why did my run end with no records?

The listing may be closed or moved, or the search found no listing of the chosen type. The run then ends as EMPTY with no lead charges, and OUTPUT explains which input returned nothing.

The Actor returns public Tripadvisor listing and review data without logging in and does not collect private data. Reviews contain reviewer display names; handle them under the privacy rules that apply to you, respect Tripadvisor's terms, and follow CAN-SPAM, TCPA and anti-spam rules when contacting businesses. This tool is not affiliated with Tripadvisor, and this is not legal advice.
