Air Quality Scraper
Pulls current air quality readings for any coordinate through the Open-Meteo air quality API. No login, no proxy, no browser, no API key.
Input
| Field | Type | Notes |
|---|---|---|
locations | array | Required. "label:lat, lon" or plain "lat, lon". Default Berlin and Delhi. |
Output
One row per location: label, requestedLatitude, requestedLongitude,
latitude, longitude, observedAt, europeanAqi, pm2_5, pm10,
ozone, nitrogenDioxide, units.
Notes
- The returned coordinates are not the ones you asked for. Open-Meteo snaps each request to its model grid, so 13.41 comes back as 13.400002. Both are kept so it is clear which point the reading actually describes.
- A label may itself contain a colon (
Berlin: Mitte:52.52,13.41); the split is taken at the last colon so the label survives intact. - Coordinates outside the valid lat/lon range are rejected here — the API accepts some of them and returns a reading for a point that cannot exist.
0is a legitimate reading for a pollutant and is preserved rather than treated as missing.- The European AQI band is the EU scale, not the US one; the two are not interchangeable and a number that looks good on one can be poor on the other.
