What is Kwai Scraper?

Kwai Scraper turns Kwai into structured data. Paste a Kwai profile, playlist or video link, or type a keyword, and click Start. The output is clean rows of Kwai video data: captions, transcripts, view counts, likes, shares, comment counts, direct MP4 links and creator statistics. You can download it as JSON, CSV or Excel or read it through the API.

It works as a Kwai API alternative. Kwai has no public data API, so the Actor reads the same public endpoints kwai.com uses for logged-out visitors. You never have to sign in.

What can Kwai Scraper do?

How to scrape Kwai

1. Open Kwai Scraper on Apify Store and click Try for free.
2. In Kwai URLs, paste video, profile, playlist or share links, one per line.
3. In Search terms, add keywords if you also want search results. You can use URLs, search terms or both.
4. Set Max videos per profile, playlist or search term. The default of 30 keeps the first run cheap. Use 0 for a creator's whole profile.
5. Click Start. When the run finishes, open the Output tab and download your Kwai data as JSON, CSV, Excel, XML or HTML, or read it with the API.

With maxItems set to 0, the Actor returns every public video on the profile. In testing, this profile returned all 278 of its videos. The run log shows how many public videos the profile has before scraping starts.

⚠️ Accepted inputs. A video is https://www.kwai.com/@user/video/ID, https://www.kwai.com/video/ID, an m.kwai.com/photo/... link or a bare numeric ID. A profile is https://www.kwai.com/@username, @username or https://m.kwai.com/user/.... Kwai usernames are case-sensitive, so copy them exactly. Share links from the Kwai app (k.kwai.com/p/...) are opened and resolved automatically. Anything else is skipped with a warning and not charged. Duplicate inputs are merged, and a video that two of your inputs both return is saved and charged only once per run.

How much does it cost to scrape Kwai?

Kwai Scraper uses pay-per-event pricing. You pay only for videos saved to your dataset. Compute and proxy costs are included in the price. Inputs that return nothing, such as a deleted video, an unknown username or an invalid link, are free.

On the Free plan, 1,000 Kwai videos cost $2.49 and a 278-video profile costs about $0.69. maxItems is the main cost lever: a run costs roughly price × videos per input × number of profiles, playlists and search terms, plus one video per video URL. You can also set a maximum cost per run in Apify Console. The Actor stops cleanly when it reaches that limit.

How it works

1. Each URL is recognised as a video, profile or playlist. Share links are opened to find the video they point to, and duplicates are merged.
2. The Actor calls the public endpoints kwai.com uses for logged-out visitors and pages through profiles, playlists and search results until it reaches maxItems or the end of the list.
3. For each video it also reads the structured data Kwai publishes for search engines, which adds the transcript, genres and the creator's follower, like and video counts.
4. Rows are saved and charged as they come in. A run that Apify moves to another server resumes without duplicates.

FAQ

Do I need a Kwai account, cookie or API key? No. The Actor reads public data the way a logged-out visitor sees it on kwai.com.

Does it scrape Kwai comments? No. As of November 2026, Kwai's website returns an empty comment list to logged-out visitors. We confirmed this from several countries, including through a real browser on a Brazilian residential IP. So this Actor doesn't offer comment text. Every row still includes commentCount.

Why is transcript empty for some videos? Kwai publishes a transcript for only part of its videos. When it has none, the field is an empty string. It is null only in the rare case that Kwai's structured data for the video couldn't be loaded.

Why is genres empty for some videos? genres holds Kwai's own category labels. Kwai doesn't categorise every video, and when it hasn't, the list is empty.

How many search results can I get? Kwai search doesn't end. Deeper pages repeat earlier videos more and more often, so the Actor stops a search term once Kwai stops adding new videos. With maxItems set to 0, it also stops at 5,000 videos per term. In testing, a broad term like "neymar" kept returning new videos past 1,700, while a very specific phrase stopped after about 580.

Can I download the videos? playUrl is a direct MP4 link. In testing, links from months-old runs still played. You can download them yourself, or use an Apify integration to send them to your storage.

Can I scrape private accounts? No. The Actor only sees what a logged-out visitor sees.

Why did my profile return nothing? Check that the username matches exactly, including capital letters: Kwai usernames are case-sensitive. Profiles with no public videos return nothing and aren't charged.

Can I schedule recurring runs? Yes. Use Apify Schedules to run hourly, daily or weekly.

Can I use it with Make, Zapier, Google Sheets or an AI agent? Yes, through Apify integrations and the Apify API. The Actor is also available to AI agents through the Apify MCP server.

Is it legal to scrape Kwai?

This Actor only collects publicly available data that any logged-out visitor can see on kwai.com. It doesn't log in, bypass paywalls or access private content. Videos and creator profiles can still include personal data, which is protected by laws such as the GDPR and Brazil's LGPD. Don't scrape personal data unless you have a legitimate reason, and check Kwai's terms of service before you use the data. If you're unsure, consult a lawyer.
