Why this Kwai Scraper

• Full creator profiles, not just the first screen. Profile mode follows Kwai's own pagination, 50 videos per request, and stops only when the profile ends or your maxItems is reached. In our tests one profile returned 250 videos in a single run and another returned 100 in 10 seconds.
• Five ways in, one output format. Video URLs, profiles, playlists, hashtags and keyword search all return the same video fields, so one integration covers every mode.
• Creator stats on every row. Followers, following, total likes and video count are added to each video. Each creator costs one light request, cached for the whole run, at no extra charge.
• Failed items never fail your run and are never charged. A removed video, a profile that does not exist or a keyword with no results comes back as one row with a stable errorCode, free of charge. The run only fails when nothing at all could be delivered because Kwai blocked every retry.
• Drop-in field names. The input accepts urls, searchTerms and maxItems, the same names the most used Kwai scraper uses. The output keeps familiar names (id, caption, createTime, thumb, playUrl, authorMeta, viewCount, likeCount, commentCount, shareCount). Fields from other Kwai scrapers also work: operation + input, maxItemsPerQuery, keyword, userId, startUrls.
• No login, no cookies, no browser. Plain HTTP against Kwai's public web pages and endpoints, through the Apify datacenter proxy. Runs are fast and cheap, which is why the price can stay at US$ 2 per 1,000.
• Share links work. Paste the k.kwai.com/p/... link the Kwai app copies, even with the whole "Acho que você vai adorar este vídeo!" message around it, and the Actor follows it to the video.

Input

Every field is optional. With an empty input the Actor scrapes 30 videos from the public profile @cnnbrasil, which is what Apify's daily health check runs.

Duplicate videos are removed within a run. In that last example both entries point to the same video, so you get one row and pay for one.

Error codes (never charged)

VIDEO_NOT_FOUND	The video was removed, made private or never existed. Kwai silently shows a different recommended video in that case; the Actor checks the id and does not hand you the wrong one.

NO_RESULTS	The keyword, hashtag or profile has no public videos
INVALID_URL	The line is not a Kwai video, profile, playlist, hashtag or share link

Limitations

• Kwai decides how deep a list goes. Most creator profiles paginate to hundreds of videos, but for some accounts Kwai's web profile lists far fewer videos than the count shown in the app (one account with 861 videos returned 11 on the web). The Actor returns everything Kwai serves and stops there.
• Search is served from Kwai's Brazil-focused index. Portuguese and broad English or Indonesian keywords return hundreds of videos, while some long Spanish phrases return only a handful. When a keyword runs dry, try a shorter keyword or the hashtag.
• Hashtag feeds repeat videos across pages. Duplicates are removed and never charged; the run stops after three pages with nothing new.
• Comments are not collected. Only the comment count is returned. Comments belong to ordinary users, and this Actor only collects the public video and the public profile of the creator who posted it.
• MP4 links expire. Kwai signs its CDN links; download the files within a few hours of the run.
• Numbers are what Kwai shows publicly at the moment of the run and can differ slightly from the in-app counter.
• Something broke? Open an issue on the Actor page. Issues are answered within 12 hours.

FAQ

Do I need a Kwai account, cookies or an API key? No. The Actor reads only public pages and public web endpoints, with no login and no cookies. You only need an Apify account.

Can I scrape every video of a creator? Yes, set maxItems to a high number (for example 5,000). The Actor follows Kwai's pagination until the profile ends. For a few accounts Kwai's web profile lists fewer videos than the app shows; see Limitations.

How fast is it? A profile of 100 videos took about 10 seconds in our tests, and a mixed run of 500 videos (one profile plus one keyword) took under two minutes. Hashtag runs are slower because every page brings new creators to look up.

Does it download the video files? It returns playUrl, a direct MP4 link, for every video post. Download the files with any HTTP client soon after the run, because the links expire.

Why did a video come back with VIDEO_NOT_FOUND when the link opens in my browser? If the video was removed or made private, Kwai's page quietly shows a different recommended video. The Actor compares ids and reports the original as not found instead of giving you data for the wrong video. If your browser really shows the same id, open an issue with the URL.

Am I charged for errors, duplicates or empty searches? No. Error rows are free, duplicates within a run are removed before charging, and a keyword with no results costs nothing.

Which countries does it work for? Kwai content is global, so any public creator, video, playlist or hashtag works regardless of the country it was posted from. Search results come from Kwai's web index, which leans toward Brazil and Latin America.

Can I get comments or data about the people who comment? No, by design. The Actor returns the comment count only and never collects commenters, viewers or followers lists.

Can I use it from n8n, Make or Zapier? Yes. Use the Apify app in those tools, pick scrapewise/kwai-scraper, and map the dataset items to your next step.

Can an AI agent call it? Yes, through the Apify MCP server or the Apify API. The input schema is short and every field has a description, so agents fill it in correctly.

Is scraping Kwai legal? The Actor collects only data that Kwai shows publicly to any visitor without logging in, and it does not collect personal data of ordinary users. How you use the data is your responsibility; follow Kwai's terms and the privacy laws that apply to you, such as LGPD in Brazil and GDPR in Europe.
