Scrape trending dashboards from Dune Analytics, filtered by blockchain or search term, up to a million per run. Each dashboard comes with its title, author, star count, and direct URL. No API key required. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.

Dune's official API requires an account and key management. This Actor reads the public trending dashboards feed directly, letting you filter by chain or a client-side search term, and returns each match in one fixed schema. It is the fastest way to monitor which on-chain analyses are gaining traction right now.

Who uses itWhat they scrape Dune for
Crypto analystsDiscover which on-chain metrics and dashboards the community finds most valuable this week.
DeFi project teamsTrack competitor dashboard activity and identify popular analytics formats in their ecosystem.
Content curatorsBuild a weekly roundup of the most starred Dune dashboards across multiple blockchains.
VC and investment researchersSpot early signals of protocol growth by monitoring dashboard creation trends.

What it does

This Actor collects trending dashboards from Dune Analytics by optional chain filter or search term and returns each one as a flat row.

  • ๐Ÿ”— Direct URLs: every dashboard row includes the full Dune Analytics link so you can open it instantly.
  • โ›“๏ธ Chain filter: narrow results to a single blockchain like Ethereum, Solana, or Arbitrum, or pull all chains at once.
  • ๐Ÿ” Client-side search: pass a search term to filter dashboards by title or author name after collection.
  • ๐Ÿ“Š Flat schema: each dashboard returns as one row with title, author, stars, and URL, ready for spreadsheets.

Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.

Use with AI agents (MCP)

Give an AI agent live access to Dune through the Model Context Protocol. Add the Actor to Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client:

$claude mcp add --transport http apify "https://mcp.apify.com?tools=parseforge/dune-trending-dashboards-scraper"

Then prompt it in plain language to run the scraper and read back the results.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting fewer results than my maxItems setting?

The Actor can only return dashboards that are currently on Dune's trending page. If fewer dashboards are trending than your maxItems value, you will receive all available ones. Try removing the chain filter or search query to widen the results.

The search query is not returning the dashboards I expect.

The search filter matches against dashboard title and author name only. Check your spelling and try a shorter or broader term. Remember the filter runs client-side after collection, so it cannot find dashboards that are not already in the trending feed.

I am getting dashboards from chains I did not select.

Make sure you selected a chain from the dropdown and did not leave it on 'All chains'. The filter is applied during collection, so double-check your input configuration before starting the run.

The run completed but my dataset is empty.

An empty dataset usually means the combination of chain filter and search query matched zero dashboards. Try running without filters first to confirm data is available, then add filters one at a time.

FAQ

QuestionAnswer
Do I need a Dune Analytics account or API key to use this? No. The Actor reads the public trending dashboards page, so no login, account, or API key is required.
What blockchains can I filter by?You can filter by Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Solana, BNB Chain, Avalanche, Gnosis, or zkSync. Leave the filter empty to get dashboards from all chains.
How does the search query filter work? The search query is a client-side text filter applied after collection. It matches against the dashboard title and author name, so only rows containing your term reach the final dataset.
What data does each dashboard row include? Each row returns the dashboard title, author name, star count, and the direct Dune Analytics URL so you can open it in your browser.
Can I scrape dashboards from a specific user or project? This Actor targets the trending feed, not user profiles. Use the search query to filter by author name or project keywords within the trending list.
How many dashboards can I collect in one run?You can set the maximum up to 1,000,000 dashboards per run. The actual number returned depends on how many are currently trending on Dune.
What export formats are supported? You can export your dataset to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML from the Apify platform.
How often does the trending list update?Dune updates its trending dashboards regularly based on user engagement. Run this Actor on a schedule to capture changes over time.
