Troubleshooting
Why am I getting no results?
Check your state code. It must be a valid 2-letter abbreviation like CA, not 'California'. Also, try increasing the maxItems limit or leaving the state filter blank to confirm data is available.
The run stopped before reaching my maxItems limit.
The actor stops when it has read all available records matching your filter. If you filtered by a small state, the total records may be less than your maxItems setting.
Some fields are empty in my results.
Not every facility reports every field. Empty values mean the EPA did not have that data point for that record. This is expected for optional fields.
I got a timeout error.
The EPA endpoints can be slow for very large requests. Try reducing maxItems or adding a state filter to limit the scope. If the problem persists, retry the run.
The data looks different from the EPA website.
The actor reads from the same public data services that power the EPA's online tools. Small timing differences can occur if the underlying data was updated between your website visit and the scrape.
