Troubleshooting

Why am I getting no results?

Check that the INN or OGRN is exactly 10, 12, or 13 digits with no spaces or dashes. For name searches, try the exact Cyrillic spelling from an official document. Also verify the entity type filter is not excluding your target.

The run finished but the dataset is empty.

The registry may not have a record matching your query. Try broadening the search: use fewer words from the company name, or switch the entity type to 'Both' to catch sole entrepreneurs.

I got a result but the address looks incomplete.

The Actor returns the legal address exactly as registered. Some older registrations have abbreviated or free-form addresses. There is no geocoding or normalization step.

The run timed out.

Lower the 'Maximum companies' value. The registry API can be slow under heavy load, and requesting too many records in one run may exceed the default timeout.

What is the difference between INN and OGRN?	INN is the taxpayer identification number assigned to every legal entity and individual entrepreneur. OGRN is the primary state registration number assigned when a legal entity is first created. Both are accepted as a query.
Can I search by a person's name?	You can search for a sole entrepreneur (IP) by their full name. For legal entities, you can search by the director's name if it appears in the company's registered name, but the registry does not support a direct director-name lookup.
Does this work for companies registered in other EAEU countries?	No, this Actor queries only the Russian Federation's EGRUL registry. It does not cover registries in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, or Kyrgyzstan.
What information is returned for each company?	The Actor returns the full official name, INN, OGRN, KPP, registration date, legal address, current status, director name, and authorized capital. The exact fields are shown in the sample output on the Actor's page.
Is the data returned in English or Russian?	The data is returned in Russian, exactly as it appears in the official registry. Company names and addresses are in Cyrillic.
