๐ง Input
The tool accepts the following inputs (all optional - start with a manager name and max items, or use CIK for precision):
{"searchQuery": "BlackRock","maxItems": 10,"cik": "","dateFrom": "2025-01-01","dateTo": "2025-12-31","includeHoldings": true,"maxFilings": 5,"maxConcurrency": 3}
Input Fields Explained:
-
Manager Name Search -Enter the name of an institutional investor (e.g., "BlackRock", "Vanguard", "Berkshire Hathaway"). The tool searches SEC filings for matching managers. If you provide a CIK, this field is ignored.
-
Max Items - How many holding records to return in total. Each filing may contain hundreds of holdings, so this controls your output size.
-
CIK (Company Identifier) -For precision searches, enter the SEC Central Index Key of a specific institution (e.g., "0002012383" for BlackRock). Using a CIK bypasses the manager name search and ensures you get filings only for that exact entity.
-
Date From -Start date for your search in YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g., "2025-01-01"). Filters filings by the date they were submitted to the SEC.
-
Date To -End date for your search in YYYY-MM-DD format (e.g., "2025-12-31"). Works with Date From to create a date range.
-
Include Individual Holdings -When enabled (true), you get one record per holding with all holding-level details. When disabled (false), you get one record per filing with summary-only information. Enable this to analyze individual stock positions.
-
Max Filings -Maximum number of 13F filings to process (1-100). Each quarterly filing can contain hundreds of holdings. More filings = more data but slower processing.
-
Max Concurrency -Number of parallel requests to the SEC (1-10). SEC allows up to 10 requests per second. Increase for speed or decrease if you encounter rate limiting.
๐ Output
The tool returns a dataset with one row per holding. Here's a sample output:
{"filingManagerName": "BlackRock Inc","cik": "0001086364","accessionNumber": "0001086364-25-000005","formType": "13F-HR","filingDate": "2025-02-14","periodOfReport": "2024-12-31","nameOfIssuer": "APPLE INC","titleOfClass": "COM","cusip": "037833100","valueThousands": 35500000,"shares": 830000000,"shareType": "SH","investmentDiscretion": "SOLE","votingSole": 830000000,"votingShared": 0,"votingNone": 0,"managerLocation": "New York, NY","filingUrl": "https://www.sec.gov/cgi-bin/viewer?action=view&cik=0001086364&accession_number=0001086364-25-000005&xbrl_type=v","scrapedAt": "2025-02-26T10:15:32.000Z"}
