SquareYards India Property Listings Scraper
Scrape residential property listings from SquareYards India by city and transaction type, up to a million per run. Every listing returns its price, BHK configuration, area, locality, and property details. No login or API key. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.
SquareYards lists thousands of Indian residential properties for sale and rent, but manually copying listings for market analysis or lead generation is slow and error-prone. This actor reads the public search pages directly, filtering by city slug and transaction type, and returns each matching property in a consistent flat schema. It works for Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, and every other city SquareYards covers.

What it does
This Actor collects SquareYards India property listings by city and sale or rent filter, and returns each one as a flat row.
- 🏙️ City filter: drive the scrape with a city slug like mumbai, bangalore, or delhi-ncr.
- 💰 Transaction type: choose sale or rent to match the exact listing pool you need.
- 🔢 Volume control: set a hard cap on the number of properties collected per run, from 1 to 1,000,000.
Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.

Troubleshooting
Why am I getting no results?
Check that the city slug exactly matches a SquareYards URL segment. For example, delhi-ncr works, but delhi alone may not. Also verify that the transaction type you selected has listings on the site for that city.
The run stops before reaching my maxItems limit.
SquareYards may not have as many listings as your maxItems value for that city and transaction type. The actor stops when it runs out of pages. Try a larger city or switch from rent to sale, which usually has more inventory.
Some property fields are empty in the output.
SquareYards listings do not always fill every field. If a developer or a floor number is not on the page, that cell will be blank. This is expected and reflects the source data.
I get an error about the city slug.
The city slug must be lowercase and match the SquareYards URL pattern. Go to squareyards.com, navigate to a city, and copy the slug from the address bar. Avoid trailing slashes or spaces.
FAQ
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| What is a city slug and where do I find it? | A city slug is the part of the SquareYards URL that identifies the city, like mumbai or bangalore. Look at the SquareYards website URL when you browse a city, and copy the word after /property-for-sale-in- or /property-for-rent-in-. |
| Does this scraper get contact details for the agent or developer? | The actor returns whatever contact information SquareYards displays on the public listing page. If a phone number or developer name is visible in the listing, it will appear in your output row. |
| Can I scrape multiple cities in one run? | The input accepts one city slug per run. To scrape multiple cities, run the actor once per city, either manually or by scheduling separate tasks. |
| How do I get only rental listings? | Set the Transaction Type input to rent. The actor will then only collect listings from the rental section of SquareYards for your chosen city. |
| What format does the data come in? | The default dataset is JSON. You can export it to CSV, Excel, or XML from the Apify dataset tab after the run finishes. |
| Is there a risk of getting blocked by SquareYards? | The actor uses standard web scraping techniques and reads public pages. Running it at moderate speeds with reasonable maxItems values reduces the chance of any interruption. |
| Can I scrape new project listings, not resale? | The actor targets the main property search pages for sale and rent. If SquareYards lists new projects on those same result pages, they will be included. Dedicated new project pages are not a separate input mode. |
| Does the actor handle pagination automatically? | Yes, it follows the search result pages until it reaches your maxItems limit or runs out of listings. |
| What cities are supported? | Any city that SquareYards has a dedicated page for. Common ones include mumbai, bangalore, delhi-ncr, pune, hyderabad, chennai, and kolkata. Check the SquareYards site for the exact slug. |
| Can I set a price range filter? | The input schema does not include a price range filter. The actor collects all listings for the city and transaction type, up to your maxItems cap. You can filter by price after export in your spreadsheet or database. |
