TMview Trademarks Scraper

Scrape trademark records from TMview by name, office, or status, up to a million per run. Every record includes its Nice classes, applicant, status, and filing dates. No API key or registration required. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.

TMview's official search tool is built for one-at-a-time lookups, not bulk data collection. This Actor reads the public trademark database directly, searching by mark name or keyword, and returns each matching record in a flat, consistent schema. Filter by intellectual property office (USPTO, EUIPO, UKIPO, and others) or by legal status to narrow the results before they reach your dataset.

What it does

This Actor collects trademark records from TMview by name or keyword and returns each one as a flat row with its classes, applicant, status, and dates.

  • 🔍 Keyword search: enter any mark name or keyword like "apple" or "tesla" and get every matching record.
  • 🏛️ Office filter: restrict results to specific IP offices with two-letter codes (EM for EUIPO, US for USPTO, GB for UKIPO).
  • 📋 Status filter: pull only registered, filed, expired, ended, cancelled, or refused marks.

Results export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML, or straight from the API.

🏢 Applicant portfolio analysis.

An analyst scrapes all trademarks held by a competitor to map their product pipeline and geographic expansion strategy.

📈 Trademark filing trend reports.

A researcher collects all filings in a specific Nice class over a year to identify growing industries and crowded trademark spaces.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting no results?

Check that your query is spelled correctly and is not too restrictive. Try removing the office or status filters to broaden the search. Some terms may genuinely have no matching trademarks in TMview.

The Actor is running slowly.

TMview's public interface can be slow for large searches. Reduce the maximum trademarks limit or narrow your query with office and status filters to speed up the run.

Some fields are empty in my results.

Not every trademark record in TMview has all fields populated. Missing data in the source means the corresponding column will be empty in your export. This is expected behavior.

I got fewer results than my maxItems setting.

The Actor stops when TMview has no more matching records, even if your maxItems limit is higher. Your query may have fewer results than the limit you set.

The office filter is not working as I expected.

Use the exact two-letter office codes as defined by TMview. Common codes are EM for EUIPO, US for USPTO, and GB for UKIPO. Check the TMview documentation for a full list of supported office codes.
