USPTO Trademark Assignment Scraper

Scrape USPTO trademark assignment records by owner name, serial number, or registration number. Each record includes assignor, assignee, conveyance type, reel/frame, and execution date. No login or API key. Export to CSV, JSON, Excel, or XML.

The USPTO's official assignment search is built for manual lookups, not bulk research. This Actor queries the public USPTO Trademark Assignment database directly, so you can pull ownership-transfer records for any trademark by owner name, serial number, or registration number. It returns each assignment as a clean, flat row, ready for analysis or integration.

Troubleshooting

Why am I getting no results?

Check your search query. Owner name search supports partial matching, but if the name is too broad or misspelled, you may get no hits. Try a shorter or more common name, or use serial/registration numbers for exact lookups.

The Actor returns fewer results than expected.

The maxItems parameter limits the number of assignments collected. Increase maxItems if you need more. Also, the USPTO database may not have assignments for every trademark.

I get an error when using serialNumbers and searchQuery together.

Use either owner name search or direct lookups, not both. If you provide serialNumbers or registrationNumbers, the searchQuery is ignored.

The run takes too long.

Reduce maxItems or narrow your search. The Actor processes each assignment sequentially, so a large maxItems with a broad query can take time.

Some fields are empty in the output.

Not all assignments have every field populated in the USPTO database. Empty fields are normal for records with missing data.
