Search the City of Austin's issued construction permits from Development Services on data.austintexas.gov (about 2.3 million building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and driveway permits, refreshed daily). Austin is one of the fastest-growing US construction markets, and this file names the contractor on every job.
Each result includes:
- permit number, type, residential/commercial class and work class (new, remodel, repair, addition...)
- work description, project address and ZIP
- issue date, applied date, status and expiration
- job valuation, new square footage, housing units and floors
- contractor trade, name, company, phone and address
- applicant name, organization and phone
- council district, project ID and a link to the city permit page
Results are newest issue date first. No API key, no CAPTCHA. Pricing: $0.002 per permit + $0.0001 start.

Use cases
Contractor and subcontractor lead lists, roofing, solar, HVAC, pool and home services prospecting, building material sales, new construction tracking by ZIP, and competitor research on who is pulling permits.
Limits
Point-in-time public data from the City of Austin (city jurisdiction only). Contractor phone is missing on some permits, and there is no email. Names are matched as substrings.
