SEC Form D Scraper: New Startup Funding Leads

Get a clean list of US companies that just raised private money, every day, straight from SEC EDGAR. Every company that sells securities under Regulation D (Rule 506(b), 506(c) and others) must file a Form D within 15 days of its first sale. This SEC Form D scraper reads those filings, removes investment funds, and turns each one into a tidy record with the amount raised, the executives, the address and the phone number.

No API key, no login, no messy XML. Just companies with fresh capital, ready for your CRM or spreadsheet.

What can this SEC Form D scraper do?

  • Find newly funded companies by filing date: the last N days or an exact date range.
  • Filter out funds automatically. Hundreds of filings a week come from private equity, venture, hedge and real estate funds and SPVs. With "Exclude investment funds" on (default), you get operating companies only.
  • Filter by what matters: issuer state, SEC industry group, minimum amount already raised, minimum offering size.
  • Return numbers you can sort: offering size, amount sold, amount remaining, minimum investment and number of investors as numbers, not text.
  • List the people: executive officers, directors and promoters named in the filing, with their roles.
  • Track amendments: optionally include Form D/A filings, each linked to the filing it amends.

What data do you get?

How much does it cost?

This tool uses simple pay-per-result pricing: $10 per 1,000 filings ($0.01 per company), plus a negligible start fee of $0.00005 per run. You do not pay for Apify compute separately.

You getYou pay
100 newly funded companies$1.00
500 companies$5.00
1,000 companies$10.00
A daily feed averaging 50 new companies a day for 30 daysabout $15

Apify's free plan includes monthly platform credits, enough to try the tool on a few hundred filings. Set Maximum results or a maximum cost per run to cap spending.

Use it via API, Make, Zapier, n8n or an AI agent

Apify API. Start a run and get the results back in one HTTP request (replace YOUR_API_TOKEN with the token from Apify Console > Settings > Integrations):

curl -X POST "https://api.apify.com/v2/acts/plotpointtech~sec-form-d-fundraise-feed/run-sync-get-dataset-items?token=YOUR_API_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"daysBack": 7, "states": ["CA", "NY"], "industries": ["Other Technology"], "minAmountSold": 1000000, "excludePooledFunds": true, "maxResults": 200}'

For longer jobs, start the run asynchronously and read the dataset when it finishes. Official apify-client libraries exist for Python and JavaScript; the API tab on this page has ready-made code.

No-code automation. Connect the tool to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets, Slack, Airtable or any webhook with Apify integrations, and use Schedules in Apify Console to run it hourly, daily or weekly.

AI agents (MCP). Give Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP-compatible agent direct access to this tool through the hosted Apify MCP server. Add this server URL to your client:

https://mcp.apify.com?tools=plotpointtech/sec-form-d-fundraise-feed

The agent can then call the tool with the same input fields shown above and read the results.

FAQ

Is it legal to use Form D data? Yes. Form D filings are public records published by the US Securities and Exchange Commission on EDGAR, and this tool fetches them within the SEC's fair-access limits. If you use the contact details for outreach, you are responsible for following applicable rules such as CAN-SPAM and telemarketing laws.

How fresh is the data? The SEC publishes each day's filing index the evening after filing, so a filing made today appears in the next morning's run.

Why are some companies missing an amount? Some issuers file with an "indefinite" offering size or report $0 sold at first. Amounts are exactly as filed. Use Minimum amount already raised to keep only companies that report a closed amount.

Does it include emails? Form D does not contain email addresses. Pair it with our Email & Contact Scraper to find published emails on each company's website.

What does "Exclude investment funds" remove? Filings that mark the issuer as a pooled investment fund (private equity, venture capital, hedge, real estate funds and SPVs). Turn it off if you track fund raises.

Plot Point Technologies is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
