• Agencies post most office and tech jobs (81% to 94%), but under a quarter of care-assistant jobs, where employers such as Barchester Healthcare and Agincare hire directly.

Good to know

• Salaries come from Reed's own figures and period (per year, per day, per hour). Ads with no figures have none. Some employers enter an hourly or daily figure under the wrong period; the report uses medians, so a few such ads do not move it.
• Agencies: Reed marks recruitment agencies; recruiters it lists as direct employers are also flagged by name.
• Training providers sometimes advertise "trainee" roles that are really courses; check employer for those.
• Locations must be UK places Reed knows (town, city, county or postcode). Unknown places are skipped and listed in RUN_SUMMARY.
• Search pages carry a snippet, not the full description.
• No contact details: emails and phone numbers in snippets are hidden.
• Data comes from Reed.co.uk's public job search. Not affiliated with Reed.
