Google News Scraper: search, topics and real article URLs

Search Google News by keyword (with operators like site: and quoted phrases) or pull its built-in topic feeds, in any country and language. Every result includes the headline, publisher, publish time and the real article URL (not the Google redirect).

Why use it

  • Real URLs: Google's redirect links are decoded to the publisher's page, so you can feed them straight into a crawler or LLM pipeline.
  • Time filters: last hour, day, week, month, year.
  • Many queries per run, deduplicated, with the originating query on each row.
  • No API key, no browser, no proxy: fast and cheap.
  • Pay per article.

What is Google News Scraper?

Google News Scraper collects Google News articles for your search queries or topics and returns the headline, publisher, publish date and the real article URL (decoded from the Google News redirect link). You can run it from the Apify Console, call it over the API, schedule it, or connect it to Make, Zapier, n8n, Google Sheets and webhooks.

How to use Google News Scraper

  1. Enter search Queries (for example a brand or competitor name) or pick Topics.
  2. Set Country, Language and Time range.
  3. Click Start.
  4. Export the articles or schedule the run hourly/daily for media monitoring.

How much does it cost?

You pay per article delivered, nothing for compute. Apify subscribers get lower prices:

PlanPrice per articlePer 1,000
Free$0.0030$3.00
Bronze$0.0027$2.70
Silver$0.0023$2.25
Gold$0.0018$1.80

Example: 1,000 articles cost about $3.00 on the free plan. The Apify free plan includes $5 of monthly credit, so you can test on real data before paying anything.

Integrations and API

Every run produces a dataset you can download as JSON, CSV, Excel or HTML, or read with the Apify API and the JavaScript/Python clients. The Actor also works as a tool for AI agents through the Apify MCP server.
