MSN Sports Schedule Scraper
Unofficial wrapper around MSN's own public sports API for upcoming game schedules across major leagues.
Unofficial wrapper around MSN's own public sports content API. Pulls the game schedule for major sports leagues on a given date as structured JSON — no scraping, no HTML parsing, no login required.
What
Give this Actor one or more league ids (and optionally a date) and it returns the scheduled games for each league on that date: matchup, venue, kickoff/start time, and broadcast channels. One dataset row per scheduled game.
Why
Build a schedule feed, calendar integration, or alert pipeline for upcoming games across multiple leagues without manually checking MSN's site.
How to use MSN Sports Schedule Scraper
- Open the Actor's Input tab.
- Select one or more leagues from the
leagueIdslist, and optionally a date. - Click Start. The Actor fetches the schedule for each league/date and pushes one row per game to the dataset.
- Open the Output tab, or export the dataset as JSON/CSV/Excel.
Input
| Field | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
leagueIds | array of strings | Yes | One or more leagues. Confirmed values: Football_NFL, Basketball_NBA, Baseball_MLB, IceHockey_NHL, Soccer_USAMajorLeagueSoccer, Soccer_InternationalClubsUEFAChampionsLeague, Soccer_UEFAEuropaLeague. |
date | string | No | YYYY-MM-DD. Defaults to today if left empty. |
Output
One item per scheduled game. MSN's own response fields are passed through largely as-is since they're richer than any fixed schema could usefully flatten — expect fields like startDateTime, participants (team info), venue, channels, and gameType, plus a leagueId tag added by this Actor.
{"leagueId": "Basketball_NBA","startDateTime": "1792022400000","participants": [{ "team": { "name": { "rawName": "Toronto Raptors" } } }],"venue": { "name": "Scotiabank Arena" }}
You can download the dataset in various formats such as JSON, HTML, CSV, or Excel.
Pricing
Pay-per-event, billed per scheduled-game row pushed. See the Actor's Pricing tab for current rates.
Known limitations
- League coverage depends on MSN's own league catalog; not every league/competition worldwide is available, and league ids must match MSN's own naming exactly (see the confirmed values above).
- Only one date per run is returned per league; schedule a repeated run (or multiple runs with different dates) to build up a wider window.
- This is an unofficial, reverse-engineered integration, not affiliated with or endorsed by Microsoft Corporation. Behavior may change if MSN changes its API.
