Actor unusable: constant cookie renewal makes it impossible to run

Closed

INDIANA opened this issue

Hi,

I rented this actor just a few hours ago to integrate with a workflow in n8n. I followed all the instructions correctly, but the actor is unusable.

Every time a request is sent, a new LinkedIn session cookie is required, even when the previous one was valid just seconds before. It makes any kind of automation completely impossible and breaks the flow.

This behavior is not mentioned anywhere on the actor's page, and makes the tool incompatible with basic usage scenarios.

Please let me know:

  1. If this is a known issue you can fix quickly
  2. Or if a refund is possible, since I just rented it and cannot use it

Thanks in advance,

You shouldn't browse on linkedin while running the actor (cookie session will be reset)

Linkedin is against automation, the only other method scalable is for the service provider to handle cookie session (and rotation) , much more expensive

Thanks a lot for your reply 🙏

Just to be clear: I made sure not to browse LinkedIn at all during the actor runs. I generated a fresh cookie, closed all tabs, and followed a cautious pacing (1 to 6 minutes between requests). The first run worked well, but just a few minutes later the session expired again — even with everything closed.

I totally understand LinkedIn is against automation, and I also know it’s never 100% stable. That said, I did follow the guidelines and kept everything well below the thresholds (less than 100 profiles/day, premium account, etc.).

Right now, the actor requires a new cookie almost every time — which makes it very difficult to integrate into any kind of workflow (like n8n). Since I rented it just a few hours ago and couldn’t really use it in the end, would a refund be possible in this case?

Thanks again for your time and for building this 🙌
Let me know what’s possible!

Sorry for you, difficult to be scalable when asking users to input their cookie session

For refunds we don't have any power, try and see with apify support

We updated our cookie handling

It should increase a lot the cookie stability, meaning fewer time to refresh

Have a try and happy to get your feedback
