What it does

The actor searches 1688.com (Alibaba's China wholesale marketplace) for one or more keywords, paginates through the results, and writes one product record per offer to the run's dataset. Each base record carries the product title, image, offer URL and id, price, sales volume, repurchase rate, supplier years, supplier location, promo and trust badges, and an ad flag. Chinese keywords return the most results.

When withDetails is on, the actor opens each offer page and adds sourcing fields: supplier company name, seller login id and user id, supplier shop URL, sale unit, minimum order quantity, wholesale price tiers, and a price range. Two optional AI add-ons (paid Apify plans only) translate the Chinese title to English and extract structured attributes and a category. Missing values are returned as null, never invented.

FAQ and troubleshooting

A run returned 0 records. Why? The keyword matched nothing, or the source throttled the request. Chinese keywords match best. Zero-result runs are not charged.

How do I get supplier company name and MOQ? Enable withDetails. The actor opens each offer page and adds companyName, minOrderQuantity, priceTiers, offerUnit, supplierUrl and seller ids.

Can I search with English keywords? Yes, but Chinese keywords return far more and more relevant results because that is how 1688 sellers title their offers.

Why are the AI fields null? The AI add-ons are off by default and require a paid Apify plan. Enable withDescription or withAttributes on a paid plan to populate them.
