What it does

The actor searches the HKTDC Sourcing directory for the product keyword you pass, paginates through the matching listings, and writes one normalized record per supplier product to the run's dataset. Each record includes the product, price range and minimum order, the supplier name, region and verification level, ODM/OEM capabilities and the product and supplier IDs and URLs. Missing source values are returned as null, and optional paid add-ons can find a public contact email, score each supplier as a sourcing lead, write a summary and classify the product category.

Data covers supplier and product listings on HKTDC Sourcing. It is independent and has no affiliation with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

<DATASET_ID> is returned as defaultDatasetId in the run object. Use offset and limit to page through large result sets. clean=true drops empty and internal fields.

Billing and limits

• Pay per result. You are charged per supplier listing returned (result event). See the pricing tab for the current per-result price.
• Add-on events. Contact search attempt (contact-search-attempt), contact email found (contact-email-found), AI lead score (ai_lead_score), AI profile summary (ai_profile_summary) and AI categorization (ai_categorize) are billed separately, and only when they produce usable output.
• No charge on failure. If a run errors, the actor writes a single item with a populated error field and does not charge for it. Empty runs cost nothing.
• Spend cap respected. Set maxTotalChargeUsd on the run; once reached, the actor stops emitting and charging further billable results.
• Free Apify plans are capped at 10 records per run (contact enrichment capped at 3). Upgrade for higher maxSuppliers.

FAQ and troubleshooting

A run returned 0 records. Why? The keyword matched no listings. Try a broader or differently spelled term. Zero-result runs are not charged.

Do I get supplier contact details? Each record includes the supplier name, store URL and IDs. Enable the contact enrichment add-on to also attempt a public business email and contact name.

What does verifiedLevel mean? It is HKTDC's supplier verification tier (for example gold). Combine it with isExhibitor and capabilities to qualify suppliers.

Why is minOrder null? The listing did not publish a minimum order quantity. Missing source values are returned as null, never invented.

What do the AI add-ons return? withLeadScore fills aiLeadScore, aiLeadTier and aiLeadRationale; withProfileSummary fills aiSummary; withCategorize fills aiCategory and aiTags. All are billed only on usable output and require a paid Apify plan.
