Search the U.S. Copyright Office public catalog — more than 8 million copyright registrations and recordations — by owner, author, work title, or record number, and get back clean, structured data. Registrations tell you who owns the copyright in a song, film, book, photograph, software program or sound recording. Recordations expose the chain of title: assignments, transfers, security interests and mergers, with the parties on each side of the deal.
No account, no API key. Filter by record type, registration class, type of work, name and year, then export to JSON, CSV or Excel.
