How to use it

A) Tranco — no token, just Start

Returns the top 1,000 domains by rank. Schedule it with Monitor mode on to get only the newly-appeared domains + biggest rank climbs each run.

B) Cloudflare Radar — instant trending/rising (free token)

Returns the domains surging in interest right now, with rank_change_pct. Mint the token on any free Cloudflare account: My Profile → API Tokens → Create Token → permission Account · Radar · Read.

C) Monitor + alert (the recurring play)

Turn on Monitor mode + add a Slack/webhook/email, pair with an Apify Schedule (e.g. daily). Every run emits and alerts on newly-trending domains (and, optionally, rank surges) — a fresh-website intent feed for your pipeline.

Honest notes

• Tranco "trending" is derived — the first run sets a baseline; from the second scheduled run on, you get the new-entrant / rank-jump deltas. For an instant trending signal on a single run, use Cloudflare Radar.
• rank_change_pct is Cloudflare-only and appears only on the trending-rise / trending-steady types (not popular).
• Categories & per-country scoping are Cloudflare-only (Tranco is a single global rank list).
• This is ranking/traffic-trend data — not per-domain analytics. Pair it with a Similarweb/Ahrefs enricher if you need deep per-site metrics.

Legal & compliance

Both sources publish public ranking data. You are responsible for complying with each provider's Terms — review Cloudflare Radar's API terms and Tranco's research license before redistributing the rankings commercially.

FAQ

Do I need a Cloudflare account? Only for the Cloudflare Radar source — and the token is free. The Tranco source needs nothing; click Start.

How "fresh" is the data? Cloudflare Radar updates continuously (daily/weekly windows); Tranco's list is rebuilt daily.

Can it feed Clay? Yes — point a Clay HTTP/webhook column at the dataset or the alert webhook; each new domain becomes a row.

Why two sources? Tranco = zero-friction + the cleanest no-auth feed; Cloudflare Radar = the richest instant trending signal. Use whichever fits the job.
