How the data is cleaned: states come back as two-letter codes (older PERM files spell them out - "NEW YORK" becomes NY), US phones as (408) 555-0142 and other countries as +<digits>, FEINs as 9 digits, ZIP codes with their leading zeros, dates as YYYY-MM-DD, and names in readable case. Broken values (a phone with a digit missing, a city typed into the ZIP box) are left blank rather than passed on, and the stray ¿ marks DOL's export leaves where it dropped a character ("¿Landscape Laborer", "4640¿W¿Grand¿River¿Ave") are cleaned.

Wages: wageOfferFrom / wageUnitOfPay are exactly as filed. The annual estimate uses the filed pay period; when that period is blank or cannot be right for the amount (for example $16.90 "per month"), the estimate uses the period the amount fits and names it in wageUnitInferred. Piece rates are not annualized.

Company domain: employerDomain is the employer's own web domain, read from its contact's mailbox (or the how-to-apply address): a mail host becomes the company domain (ny.email.gs.com → gs.com), a state agency keeps its own (cdcr.ca.gov, not ca.gov), and in-house filers keep theirs even when their own counsel writes from it. It stays blank rather than wrong when the only mailbox is a free one, an internet provider's, a hosted helpdesk, a state job bank, or a law firm's or visa agent's (a law firm sponsoring its own staff keeps its own domain).

Shared mailboxes: some H-2A / H-2B employers list their filing agent's or internet provider's mailbox as the point of contact. When many different employers share one contact mailbox, the row keeps it but marks sharedContactEmail in leadSignals, and that agent's or provider's domain is never reported as an employer's employerDomain. Corporate families that file under several company names (CVS Health, Johnson & Johnson, hospital systems) keep their shared domain. In a Sponsor profile the contact is the employer's own mailbox whenever any of its filings names one, ahead of a mailbox at its law firm or filing agent.

Monitoring mode - only new sponsors

Turn on monitorMode and give the setup a monitorKey (one per filter setup, e.g. "tx-h2b-landscaping"). The first run is the baseline: it delivers the current best matches and remembers everything it read. Every later run delivers only filings DOL added since - and if a run's Max results cuts the new filings short, the next run delivers the rest, so nothing is skipped and nothing is billed twice. In employers mode it delivers only sponsors that are new to the monitor.

DOL publishes new data quarterly, so a weekly or monthly Schedule catches every release; a check that finds nothing new delivers nothing and bills nothing.

FAQ

Where does the data come from? From the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Foreign Labor Certification (OFLC) public disclosure files - the official quarterly files of PERM, H-2A and H-2B applications, published at dol.gov.

Does it need an API key or login? No. The DOL files are downloaded directly - no key, no login, no browser.

How fresh is it? DOL publishes the files quarterly (cumulative within each federal fiscal year, which starts October 1). With no fiscal year chosen, the actor always reads the newest quarter DOL has published for each program. Pass fiscalYears for specific years from FY2020 on.

Does it include emails? Yes - the employer's named point of contact usually comes with a direct email (on almost every PERM filing and most H-2A / H-2B filings), plus the attorney's or agent's email and, for H-2A / H-2B, the how-to-apply email. Everything is exactly what the employer filed with DOL; nothing is guessed.

Why is a PERM filing "1 worker"? A PERM labor certification is filed for one named worker, so each PERM filing counts as one worker (H-2A / H-2B filings publish their own worker counts).

What does "annualized wage" mean? Many filings state pay per hour, week or month. wageAnnualizedFrom converts it to a yearly figure so you can filter and rank across programs; the original amount and pay period are always kept.

What's the difference between this and the H-1B scraper? Different visa programs and different employers. The H-1B Visa Scraper covers specialty-occupation LCAs (H-1B / H-1B1 / E-3); this actor covers green-card (PERM) and seasonal (H-2A / H-2B) sponsorship.
