Education & Research Email Scraper extracts the public professional email addresses of researchers, professors, corresponding authors, research labs, university departments and course creators from 44 education and research platforms in a single run: Europe PMC (open-access papers), ResearchGate, Google Scholar, Academia.edu, Semantic Scholar, Mendeley, ORCID (faculty pages only), SSRN, arXiv, PubMed, SpringerLink, IEEE Xplore, Elsevier (ScienceDirect), Nature, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, PLOS, MDPI, Frontiers, bioRxiv, medRxiv, edX, Coursera, Khan Academy, OpenLearn, MIT OpenCourseWare, Udemy, FutureLearn, Harvard, Stanford, MIT, UC Berkeley, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Oxford, Cambridge, ETH Zurich, University of Toronto, NUS, ScholarWorks & institutional repositories, every US (.edu) and UK (.ac.uk) university⦠plus faculty and lab pages of any university. Add research topics, tick the platforms, and get one clean, deduplicated list of academic contacts.
Perfect for scientific suppliers (lab equipment, reagents, instruments), EdTech and research software companies, academic publishers and conference organisers, recruiters of scientists, research collaborations and partnerships, science communication and PR agencies, and B2B sales teams selling to universities.
β¨ Why this Education & Research Email Scraper?
- π¬ Corresponding authors of open-access papers β the email each journal publishes on the paper "for correspondence", read through the official Europe PMC API (millions of open-access papers, newest first), with the author's name, institution and journal
- ποΈ Faculty, lab and department pages β university staff directories and lab websites are visited (Harvard, Stanford, Oxfordβ¦ or every
.edu/.ac.ukuniversity) - π 44 platforms, one run β open-access papers, research networks, publishers, MOOCs and universities, searched at the same time
- π― Professional contacts only β students' and alumni pages are excluded; an email needs an academic word around it ("professor", "lab", "department"β¦); journals' editorial offices are dropped; ORCID records are never used
- π One deduplicated list β a professor found on Google Scholar AND on her lab website appears once
- π·οΈ Platform column β each email shows the platform it was found through (
Europe PMC (open-access papers),Stanford,ResearchGateβ¦) - π Stops exactly at your target β and stops automatically when no more emails are available, so you never waste time or money
- π€ Export anywhere β JSON, CSV, Excel, XML, HTML, API, Zapier, Make, Google Sheets

β FAQ
Where do the emails come from? From what researchers and institutions publish themselves for professional contact: the corresponding-author email printed on open-access papers (read through the official Europe PMC API), faculty, lab and department pages of universities, and the pages indexed by search engines. Emails are never guessed or generated, and no account or login is used.
Do you collect students' or private emails? No. Students' and alumni pages are excluded, and an email from a university page is kept only with an academic or professional context. ORCID records are never used. The actor collects professional academic contacts: researchers, professors, corresponding authors, labs and departments.
Why are ResearchGate, Google Scholar and publishers' pages not visited? These sites block automated visits or hide emails. The actor reads what search engines show of them, and finds the researchers' university and lab pages instead.
Why did I get fewer emails than requested? Very narrow topics have few papers and pages. Add topics, and keep Europe PMC and "Faculty & lab pages" selected.
Is it legal? The actor only collects professional contact information that researchers and institutions publish publicly. You are responsible for using the data in compliance with anti-spam and privacy laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CASLβ¦): contact researchers about their work, send relevant, professional messages, identify yourself and always include an unsubscribe option.
Can I schedule it? Yes β use Apify Schedules to collect the authors of new papers regularly and send them automatically to Google Sheets, a CRM or a webhook.
