Google Maps Place List Scraper

Search Google Maps with ordinary query and location fields and receive a ranked, deduplicated list of public places. The Actor captures validated structured Maps responses when available and merges them with visible result cards as a DOM fallback.

Use queries for a batch. maxItems is global and maxItemsPerQuery bounds each search. Legacy startUrls, searchTerms, maxPlaces, maxPages, countryCode, and proxy-editor input remain accepted. Direct, authorized Apify Proxy, and custom proxy URL modes are supported; proxy credentials are never logged or stored.

Output

Each dataset row represents a real Google Maps place and includes stable identity, exact Maps URL, name, ranked position, query context, source, extraction method, and scrape timestamp. Public category, address, coordinates, rating, review count, price, status, image, website, phone, time zone, and country fields are included only when the source exposes them.

The dataset schema is strict and contains no raw response bodies, cookies, authorization material, proxy URLs, signed URLs, or synthetic placeholder records. Duplicate places are removed using place ID, CID, or a stable name/address identity.

No-results searches finish successfully with an empty dataset and OUTPUT.status = "no-results". Invalid input fails before crawling. Explicit CAPTCHA or traffic-block pages fail closed and are never stored.

Responsible use

This Actor accesses public Google Maps data only. It does not bypass authentication, CAPTCHA, paywalls, account restrictions, or other access controls. Use modest limits, comply with applicable terms and laws, and only process data for an appropriate lawful purpose.
