Carsales Car Listings Scraper

Extract every car listing from any carsales.com.au search — new, used and demo vehicles across Australia — with price, odometer, engine, transmission, seller type and photos, exported to JSON, CSV, Excel or Google Sheets. Follows every results page and automatically works around the site's 440-listing search cap.

What you get

For every listing in the search results:

• Ad ID, listing URL, title (year make model) and variant
• Year, make, model and condition (new / used / demo)
• Price, price type (drive away or excluding government charges), price excluding government charges, and the carsales price badge (great / good / fair price)
• Body type, transmission, engine, fuel type and odometer in km
• Seller type (private, dealer used, dealer new / demo), seller ID and state
• Whether the listing is a promoted "top spot" result
• Badges such as "Pay through carsales" or "ID verified"
• Photo count and image URLs
• The search URL the listing was found under, its sort order, the total result count for that search, and the scrape timestamp

How to use

1. Open carsales.com.au, run a search with the filters you want and copy the URL — for example https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/used/toyota/hilux/ or https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/used/tesla/model-3/victoria-state/. Both the clean path-style URLs and the longer ?q=(And.Condition.Used...) filter URLs are accepted.
2. Paste one or more URLs into Search URLs.
3. Set Max Items (0 for everything) and run. Results appear in the Dataset tab.

Large searches. carsales serves at most 20 pages (about 440 listings) for any single search. With Deep collection on (the default), searches larger than that are split automatically into carsales' own price bands, and then model years if a band is still too big, so a 5,000-listing search comes back complete. Every sub-search is deduplicated by ad ID.

Proxy. Apify residential proxy (country AU) is the default and recommended setting. carsales limits each IP to a handful of requests per minute, so a rotating pool is what keeps large runs flowing.

Individual listing detail pages are not supported — this actor works from search results, which already carry the fields listed above.
