What does Weibo Scraper do?

Weibo (微博) is China's Twitter, with more than 500 million monthly users. This scraper turns it into clean rows for Excel, Google Sheets, your app or your AI agent. No login, no cookie, no API key.

It has five modes:

• Search posts by keyword, in Chinese or English. Add many keywords in one run. Get the text, likes, reposts, comments, topics, pictures, video plays, place, publish time and the author's follower count and verification.
• Post details from post links or ids, with the full text of long posts.
• Comments of any post, with the location Weibo shows for each commenter.
• Creator profiles: followers, following, number of posts, verification, bio, location, join date and creator stats (for example total video plays), plus their latest posts if you want.
• Trending: Weibo's hot searches (热搜, about 50 topics with their heat score) and the popular feed (热门) by category: society, tech, finance, cars, beauty, games and more.

Why this one?

• Many keywords in one run. Each keyword is searched on its own and every row says which keyword and which Weibo search tab found it.
• Paid posts are flagged. isSponsored marks posts Weibo labels as commercial (brand deals). Very useful for brand and influencer monitoring.
• Accurate. We checked the numbers against each post's own Weibo page: likes, reposts and comments matched.
• Full text. Weibo cuts long posts short in lists; the scraper fetches the whole text.
• Reliable. Every request retries on its own and switches connection if Weibo slows it down. If one item fails, the rest of the run still finishes.
• Fair billing. You pay only for rows saved. Deleted posts, bad links, paid ad slots in the hot search list and requests that stay blocked are skipped and not charged.

How to use it

1. Pick What to scrape.
2. Fill in the matching box: keywords, post links or creator ids. Trending needs nothing else.
3. Optional: search tabs, comments per post, latest posts per creator, popular feed category.
4. Click Start. Download as Excel, CSV, JSON or HTML, or use the API.

Every row has a type (post, comment, creator or hotSearch). The output tabs Posts, Comments, Creators and Hot searches show the right columns for each.

Good to know

This scraper sees Weibo exactly as a logged-out visitor does. That keeps it simple and safe, and it also sets the limits:

• Search: Weibo shows visitors the first page of each search tab (Top, Latest, Hot, With pictures, With videos). All five together give about 90 different posts per keyword. Schedule the run (for example every hour with the Latest tab) to follow a topic over time.
• Comments: visitors see the top comments of a post (usually about 50), with some replies under each.
• Creators: the latest posts option gives the newest posts Weibo shows to visitors (about 10).
• Popular feed: about 30 to 40 posts per category at a time.
• Dates are in UTC.

• Influencer research: compare creators by followers, posts, verification and engagement.

Is it legal?

It collects only public data that Weibo shows to any logged-out visitor. It does not log in, solve captchas or collect private data. Check that your use follows Weibo's terms and the law where you are.
