Environment Agency Corporate Enforcement Signals

Monitors the official Environment Agency Register of Enforcement Actions, which contains actions against companies. Live runs page through the official bulk JSON collection. The source is refreshed by the publisher; this Actor does not claim real-time coverage.

Identity and signals

One registration resource is one enforcement action. Its final @id path segment is the stable registrationId; company names are not used as identifiers. The V1 monitored fields are company name, available company number, company address, action date, and an order-insensitive offence-summary set containing action type, agency function set, and relevant legislation title. Implemented signals are ENFORCEMENT_ACTION_ADDED, ENFORCEMENT_ACTION_DETAILS_CHANGED, and ENFORCEMENT_ACTION_NO_LONGER_LISTED. One entity transition produces at most one signal with changedFields, before, and after.

The official bulk register is the live acquisition source. The Actor does not monitor deep per-action fields such as case or incident references, penalty metadata, detailed descriptions, legislation sections, or incident addresses. The per-record detail endpoint is not used for production acquisition, and these fields are not inferred or reconstructed.

A missing record is not described as revoked, overturned, or cleared. It becomes ENFORCEMENT_ACTION_NO_LONGER_LISTED only after two consecutive complete, validated snapshots omit it.

Baseline and safety

The first successful live run stores a full baseline and emits zero signals. Blank or duplicate registration IDs, missing required bulk fields, failed pagination, near-empty results, or a major count collapse stop the run with no business signals and no snapshot mutation. Dataset and run summary writes complete before the snapshot is committed.

mode=sample demonstrates additions, corrections, and confirmed delisting through the production transition logic without external HTTP or production snapshot access. The Actor retains public company/action data only and performs no Companies House, director, officer, contact, or other personal-data enrichment.
