Upwork Job Intel — Managed Gateway

Fresh Upwork job postings via the publisher's managed egress gateway: no cookie, no login, no residential proxy required from the user. Search by keyword with optional country / budget / client-hires / duration / workload filters, sorted by recency, paginated up to 300 results.

Each job returns: job_id, title, canonical url, posted_label (+ minutes), budget type & amount (est_budget_usd, hourly low/high), experience level, and the visible card snippet.

Notes / limits

  • Egress. Upwork answers 403 to datacenter IPs — measured on 2026-09-27 from this publisher's VPS and through Apify's proxy in both datacenter and residential groups. The egress therefore runs through the publisher's managed gateway (one POST per page), included in the event pricing. Rotation of that endpoint is done with the MAKE_WEBHOOK_URL environment variable, which the code reads at startup.
  • Job url. Upwork's search tiles no longer carry any href (checked 2026-09-27: zero href in the result cards), so the URL is rebuilt from the tile's data-ev-job-uid, in the canonical form Upwork publishes today: https://www.upwork.com/freelance-jobs/apply/<slug>_~02<uid>/ (the ~02<uid> part is identically what this actor returned before the markup change, and matches indexed Upwork job URLs; the slug is derived from the title and is cosmetic). Row order and the job id are unchanged. A run fails loudly rather than publishing rows without a link.
  • Job cards only — detail pages are not fetched; open the url for full description & proposals.
  • Upwork may at any time challenge the gateway's IP range; availability depends on their tolerance.
